[Notes: So, there are things that I think the Geodude family didn't do justice. And the sole reason for that is Golem's design. Not that I hate it, it's one of my favorites, but it just doesn't look like a part of the family. First, it looks more like a generic tortoise rather than the rock monsters that it's pre evolutions are. Second, it only has four limbs when Graveler has six. Why should a pre evolution have a more advanced anatomy than the mature? Anyways, I've tried to match things up while keeping the source in tact with this one. So, on with the Dex entry…]

The Igneous Geodude line is a living proof that you become what you eat. These Geodude variants inhabits the volcanic belts of Alneo Region, feeding on the fresh lava. The magma is stored inside the rocky exterior and acts as both powerhouse and defense for the Pokémon.

As the name implies, the rocky exterior of this subspecies is made up of Igneous rock, giving these Pokémon a more rugged appearance than their brethren. These variants possess various vents on their body that oozes magma continuously, allowing the Pokémon to use it for attacking offenders. When threatened, these Pokémon tend to explode into a blast of magma with an impact equal to volcanic eruptions.

These Pokémon have are bulkier than their other counterparts when it comes to physical defense, with shell hard enough to be able to crush steel. That combined with the enhanced special attack stat makes this Pokémon a formidable companion in battles.
