Eren is a rare character for me, yet he should be the most common. I have mixed feelings about him. I like his ambitions, his effort to remain hopeful, his strength as he deals with everything despite others giving him a hard time for something that is hardly his fault. He doesn't even know what he could do and fears even himself at times because he has no choice. At the same time, he's downright crazy, having killed someone at age 9. His youth makes him naive too. It's like he were a far more realistic version of Naruto gone real/wrong, who is a kind of character that could only happen in a bright world, not in the reality we know or in SnK.
I root for Eren despite everything, yet I cannot see myself being sad over his death were it to come by the end, unlike with Levi or Sasha. I want to hug him, and I want to pull his hair sometimes.
