No, though I get the confusion. I didn't technically state that in the description, but this is a hierarchy of the characters that appear in the 'Minion Mistress' Overlord story by my friend Sunjinjo . And Blaze did not appear in that story. Neither for that matter did Stench from the same game, who I also don't have shown here.

oh that explains a few other things as well such as why there is a named third god(because while we know there are more gods than 2 in the series we don't know anything about them) and why the mother goddess's patronage and sphere of influence is light instead of life

The third god is a creation of Lamaohi - if you want to know more about it I'm sure that he will be happy to tell you - and was used in that story as well. The Mother Goddess's sphere both light and life, saying 'Deity of Light' is it's just an easy epitaph to use.

Well speaking as a human and a fictional military General there is no way I'd take orders from a fairy, elf, or any magical creature, except for Overlord Jinx.

Fair enough, to each his own. Likely-To-be-Overlord Estell would be all of those, though. We will have to see how well he performs.

I am contemplating giving up on that entirely. It is a shame since I liked the story and it was the absolutely worst place to stop. But I am feeling no motivation to start and my Overlord writing is much more fun, and I have closer friendships to support me here as well.
I still toy with the idea of taking it up again, to finish the story if nothing else. But it was still four-five chapters of 5-9 of thousands words each from being finished, and I don't have the time or stamina to do that currently.

I know how you feel when you start a project with gusto but then the fun drains out of it and you feel reluctant to work on something you don't enjoy anymore.

Aaand yet more fun with relations. Characters that were only featured in the extended materials being mentioned amused me more than it should.
Some comments:
Trickle is a regular healer and was running around on battlefields, too. She's only in the Forge when there are burns from inappropiate use of anvils.
I did expect Drip to be middle-ranked, though, especially with his eagerness to contribute to battles in more than just healing.
Also, while I don't remember their names, are the four mutilated survivors that were kept as resurrectors in the Arena listed?
Acrid wasn't working in the Forge, he was only in for a bit of rape.
In what chapter was Shank mentioned? I really can't remember that name.

I am not surprised, it is always fun to see if one can smuggle them in.
All minion names and positions here (Gnarl excluded) I got from a note listing them that Sun made for me, I did not actually go through the story to find each of those I had forgotten.
She listed Trickle as "forge healer" alongside a some unnamed blues. Except for the Giblet & Rosie chapter of the Matress I can't recall her from the story itself, granted it is some time since I have read most of it.
Perhaps that is why he is only weak, as far as I gather minions grow and become more powerful when they do what they are born to, so if he does not heal much he might not be grown so fast.
I don't remember their names either, so I am actually not sure
Sun listed Sear and Acrid as being in the forge, though now you say it I only remember him being there to get Rosie back to the reds, can't recall if he was in the forge during the main story.
He isn't, the arena ringmasters (Shank, Meph, Ricket & Grout) only makes appearances in a oneshort Sun once started.

There was one or two mentions of her in the fight in Arcadiopolis, I recall. Maybe they just needed more blues in the battle, so some were sent out, but otherwise, Giblet didn't look like he saw he earlier.
Acrid and the others were clearly mentioned as being reds not from the Forge.
FFFF, want more information on that oneshot.

Perhaps she started working in the forge after Rosie and Giblet became intimate.
That is true, will have to ask Sun about that one.
She only told me that it was called "Jinx' Day Off" and that the arenas and by extension those four were in it, I think she dropped it.

Checked the names of the mutilated blues, yes, they are mentioned here. Methinks it's mostly browns missing, as there were many of them just being mentioned and never showing up again.
Hrm, I would be very interested in what they were doing in the arenas exactly.

Akernis In reply to Ramul [2013-04-23 17:42:48 +0000 UTC]
That would make sense, seeing as browns are more or less the standard minion there are bound to be dozens of them having various small roles throughout the story.
I think that those the Netherworld has several small arenas for the minions to train, as noted in Jinri's "how to train minions", those named ones here would likely be those responsible for these arenas, like Gash is for the Battle Rock.

Aside from browns being the first to aquire and having the most common lifeforce.
Either responsible, or the best in their field. That's what I wondered about.

True, Sun said that she would shake up the order we see the clans in Shadow's Embrace, but it still makes sense to get the browns first, since it is the only clan that can be used more or less unsupported by the others, as well as working in the Tower/Netherworld etc.
Hmmm, I had not thought of that, I would assume that the clan hierarchy still applies so that the respective horde leaders and elite members would be the best during training, provided that they participates in ordinary training with their kin.

Ramul In reply to Akernis [2013-04-24 06:56:49 +0000 UTC]
Well, since this is a story and not a game, it could work with the other tribes as a beginning, too. Although, with blues, Estell would have to do all work himself (except against magical enemies), with reds he would have do do all the close combat to protect them, greens would be somewhat manageable, but he would have to have real talent as a leader, as they aren't as forgiving to mistakes as browns. But I would rather guess it will start with browns, as they are Sun's favourites.
Provided they participate, yes. It was stated that the green elders don't get involved in the quarrels the younger ones do to get a better social position.

Akernis In reply to Ramul [2013-04-24 09:09:49 +0000 UTC]
Agreed, browns would just be easier to start with all-around.
I remember, just before Whisper and Scythe's fight for position as leader. It would make sense for the elders to have a more laid-back attitude when in the Netherworld, in contrast to their fierceness on the battlefield.

Oh! Then I will have to add him, just needs his rank and relative position. Weak, mid or elite. Or even if he has to me outside the main horde, he could be up with Quaver, Grot and Nubbin as a Tower minion, in his case in charge of the kitchens.
