I used buckram, and every thing is hand sewn. I am guilty for not doing a tutorial like i have wanted to... just too busy trying to get out from under a pile of fabric! LOL

I love this wig! I was wondering if I could use this as a reference to make a silhouette for my Deviant ID. Would that be alright with you? I could give you credit for the reference, if you'd like. The entire wig would be blackened-- it would be like a cameo. What do you think?

Thank you... I bought a long straight wig on eBay and styled it in the 18th century fashion.

I saw this hat in the DD of yours, I'm dying to know how you made it! Is there a pattern for this somewhere, or did you come up with it out of your own imagination?

I made it myself... it is really kind of funny because I stretch the Buckram over a vase that I have that is just the right shape. The entire thing is all hand sewn, and layered up with fabric and trims.

That's really neat, I would love to try to start making my own hats. Any pointers/Do it yourself material you would recommend? Your costumes are so inspiring!

Thank you so much! I'm thinking of creating a little tutorial for the tricorn hat. either photos, or a video to post on youtube. It is just a buckram frame that is wired around the edges, and then I cover it by sewing the material on but hot glue has been used on occasion too. I will post the link on my page.
Be well!
