It'll continue to return like an undead monster until money is removed from politics. This bill isn't so much a bill for the government (although it certainly can be used to harass dissidents with legal actions and censor content), but mainly it's a huge boon to the media corporations who now get to protect their online content with ridiculous fines. As long as hollywood and sony continue to make money, this bill will come back no matter how often it gets voted down, because corporations own the US government.

I know the point of SOPA. What I wonder about is the message of this picture. You know. Troll face silenced by american flag. I don't know if the troll face is a symbol for internet or freedom of expression or what in the world, but I just don't see this picture as something I'd rally behind to go 'against' SOPA. Does anyone else know that the bill has been withdrawn? The main sponsor of the sopa bill withdrew himself from it saying that there needed to be a better way to go about it.

Yep. But you can expect things like these to still be coming around for a while. 1- It will take a while for everyone to realize it's postponed indefinitely (aka withdrawn), 2- they will keep making art about this as "victory" to underline that it still was a stupid idea
