lol. You're joking right? About republicans and math?
If not I'd kindly refer you back to the romney-ryan budget, or better yet, the bush tax cuts which would "pay for themselves".
Mathematics, or any kind of science is like water off a duck's ass to the GOP.

Well Romney started a lot more jobs then Obama ever has and he wasn't even President. Obama racked up more dept then George Washington to Richard Nixon combined.

This would be a funny bit of parody, except you're convinced that you're telling the truth.
Romney's job record, like any hedge fund manager, is one of destroying companies for easy money and shipping jobs overseas. If the amount of jobs he's created outweighs the amount he's destroyed, I'd be amazed, but it'd still mean jack shit to US workers since those jobs he creates tend to be factory jobs in china, india, bangladesh et al., not the USA.
Meanwhile, Obama, who is no hero of mine at all, has created a couple of million US jobs during his first term. This supposed economic recovery is a lackluster performance at best, but I'd prefer the doctor who perscribes placebos and tells me it'll be all right, over the doctor whose idea of a cure is cutting off life support whilst saying a hail mary.
Romney and his merry band of vultures would have sold off the US public for a quick buck.

This post of yours doesn't warrant a proper response considering how out of touch with reality it is. I can't decide which claim is more preposterous, the notion of romney creating millions of jobs or the preposterous idea that Obama is anything other than a well-connected and wholly pro-establishment politician.
A terrorist? Bitch please.
Please spend the rest of your life spewing idiocy on the internet, cause I shudder to think what 'kind of damage gullible cretins such as yourself could cause if they actually tried to function in the real world.

And the funny thing is that at the Republican national meeting or whatever it was, guns were utterly banned and forbidden.
But yeah, back to the point, Mitt can't attack anything that fights back; so kick his ass big bird; and have the count stomp on his cojones for flavour.

As I mentioned before, Sesame Street is in no way under any threat of going bankrupt if federal funding is cut. It only recieves 12 percent of its overall funding from the federal government. The rest is through donations. Not to mention that Sesame Street is a successful multi-million dollar franchise. I don't see it going broke anytime soon.

That's not what I'm worried about, I'm worried about a massive deterioration in programming quality if public funding ceases. AFAIK the sesame workshop gets 8 million dollars of public funds via PBS. That's such an astronomically irrelevant sum in the grand scheme of things, it's not worth compromising the quality of educational programming over.
It's hard for an american to tell the impact of public funding, since there are hardly any public shows, but here in the Netherlads there is a lot more material for comparison, since the state funds quite a lot of small competing broadcasters and programme-makers. The result is a plethora of small, quality productions as well as a bunch of programmes hat have a very select target audience (= bad for business) but a great deal of appeal to the enthousiasts. Oh and reliable news stations. Private channels have their perks: they have the money to buy big popular US series and stuff, but these are also the channels running endless reality tv and commercials. I'm not saying either one is perfect, but a system where both are present is preferable to exclusively one or the other.

OOOO irony of the right wingers...
BUT WAIT! Doesn't the 2nd amendment mean any kind of weapon in general? Like swords, staves, axes, clubs, maces, and those other fun things?? (actually, that's a serious question and issue to discuss about...)

Ali-Radicali In reply to DarkSnarkArtie89 [2012-10-18 10:58:22 +0000 UTC]
Well, the constitution is prety goddamn vague about it, so if could be interpreted to mean any kind of weapon, but it's usually assumed to mean a firearm (which is odd, since at the time cavalry charges with swords were still quite the thing, and muskets took forever to reload).
Also, the 2nd amendment is usually assumed to apply to private citizens, but looking at the literal text, that doesn't seem to be the intent at all:
"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
I would argue that the original intent was to make it easier to assemble some sort of militia/army by allowing private citizens to own weapons (which they could then use when called to arms).
To me, the legality of firearms in the USA relies on a massively outlandish and onesided interpretation of an outdated law. We don't need to call the civilian populace to arms in times of war, and if we did there'd be the US army to supply weaponry. The only reason no-one is doing anything about it is because politicians are afraid of pissing off the NRA.

And that's pretty much where I get lost at; being that I'm one of those wierdos who sees virtually any household item as a weapon, the 2nd amendment is almost meaningless to me.

My mind is blown on the flamethrower issue...
But overall, I'm just going to assume that the 2nd amendment grants me the right to own a sword... I guess... I don't know, the guy who created this picture provides a good explanation, even though my feelings are still pretty vague...
