This was going to be a big day for Bert; his little buddy Ernie was going to become a made man. He would be a true part of the mafia, a muppet with his own crew. As he heard the words on the other end of the phone, he couldn't believe them.
"We had a problem, and we tried to do everything we could. He's gone."

This picture has quite a history. Five years ago I did the first one, which like here was based on the movie "Goodfellas" Good Muppets by Gulliver63 on DeviantArt . Four years ago I started a second one of the series, and it got shoved aside - it happens. I kept thinking about this picture, and telling myself that I'll have to get it done someday. Now finally, begun in August or September of 2017, here is the finished piece. It was real greaseball stuff - Ernie was whacked for the death of Oscar the Grouch, and for other things.
