It had been chance when he had first picked up her necklace. It had been chance when he had met her in Ba Sing Se. Maybe it was chance that they just happened to work so well together. He had her back, and he knew that she had his when push came to shove. Perhaps it was chance when he had found that cryptic note stashed among his mother's old things. There was one thing, however, that he knew he could not leave up to happenstance. If he was going on this journey, he wanted Katara by his side.

It's Zutara week!
This little AU takes place after the events of the show... basically, Zuko gets a lead on what happened to his mother and where he might be able to find her, but he can't go alone, so he asks Katara to go with him.
