Description Ok this was looking good until i ruined it think it's a bit too powerful now.... but meh, it's only practice really.

about 15hours in PS, was sposed to be part of a terraspace piece, however the landscape didn't fit well, so i'l release that at a later date, or use it for something else.....

everything digitally painted except for the lightning which i used some of my own stock for. Maybe some will like it

The planets are excellent in the detail and the electricity between the two is a cool effect.

the coincidence is so creepy... i saw this picture way back when, and i saw this robot like face in it almost straight away. rushed to my my book and began drawing it. i stupidly closed the window and i couldn't find the picture again. i was looking through your stuff just now after reading your reply to a comment i made on another picture and CLICK.

i knew it was the same picture instantly but it took me about ten minutes to find the face... anyway enough babbling

heres the picture if your interested [link]

This is amazing!!!! I haven't seen anything like this before. At least not outside of a movie theatre. I'm just awed at how great this is! Very good work, alyn! Keep up the tremendous work.

I think it looks pretty good, honestly. the planet on the right looks very snowy and realistic. the planet on the left kinda reminds me of europa.. only warmer. the sturm und drang does look a little overbearing, but maybe you can just tone that down a little by using the magic selection and selecting the brightest parts, and doing a duplicate, and multiply on the new layer. or something. I still don't have the hang of the overlay modes, but hopefully you get what I mean.

Yeah. The white is so harsh, it becomes very unattractive.

But I love the planet to the left.

not bad. but the light is too bright, it looks a lil flat in the middle and the whole thing starts to lack depth.

Maybe you can make the center more ionized storm like rather than just full-blown glares.

Nice work anyway.

'a bit too powerful' gah! I don't see how that works Powerful is good...unless I suppose you were going for something else? Ahh well, it's wonderful as always. Your attention to detail is amazing...I dunno what else to say

Thanks also for creating the wall paper. It's so sweet of you 'cause I really love your art

I love the left planet man! its awesome... hmmm but the right planet the texture is weird... it looks like its sharp... but blured at the same time. Kinda pixely sharp.

And the most wonderfull piece in this work is the starfield at the under and upper edge!. Those soft gray clouds and those tiny stars in them.ve them, you got to learn me how you made them

the "storm" itself is no bad, it has his good and bad stuffs.
I really like the lightnings in it, but i dont like the total white in the middle... its just.. too white.

Btw do you have a wacom tablet or something?
just curious on how you made the lightning bolts, it would be damn hard to make them with a mouse!

Anyway... this piece is very good in my opninion.
You are really improving on your starfields!Awesome starfields, soo soft, soo calm, sooo cool!

You know i am a bit carefull with my favs, but this one is worth it pretty much so hee you go, a coldflame lol

Greetz M8!

thanks for the great comment dude, i hear ya on a lot of the things you said i do have a wacom indeed, got one for christmas, is a great help with the planet work. The harsh nebula colours were why i said i ruined it, somehow i couldn't retrieve a more softer transition, but i'm working on it for my next piece i guess

thanks again bro, very muchly appreciated

That brushing is pretty nice actually. Just make the white less solid next time so it doesn't seem too bright/intense.

Quite nice, the centre is a bir overpowered indeed, but the thing that bothers me is the planet on the right seems strangely textured, maybe the bump on it but overall, still a good job

very well done, as usual. This being a practice is very impressive. I have only done one practice photoshop piece myself and that one has got the most favs for me, so maybe i'll give more effort to photoshop work later on after i finish my 3d projects.
