So, this ended up being a page of serious artistic experimentation. By and large, I'm very pleased with the results... even if I did have to break the borders so the captions wouldn't cover up half the artwork. XD Also, super-condensed version of most of Kingdom Hearts! Significant liberties had to be taken to stay with the style and focus of the comic, sadly. The one I feel worst about is leaving Donald and Goofy out. D: Well, we know they're there. Just... off-panel.[Prev] - [Next]

I like how you described Hollow Bastion as "so tainted that water flowed upwards to escape it". For some reason, that like makes me really sad :[ I don't know why.

Hollow Bastion is a really sad place when you think about it. 
I think it's one of my favorite worlds in the series, really. There's just so darned much to it.

It is, especially how it is completely devoid of life, save the heartless. Now that I think about it, it could symbolise that. I never looked at it that way.
It's almost alive, how it is! And the music is amazing. That world never stops changing. I liked it best in the original though, just because of all the raw emotions it held.

Yeah, original Hollow Bastion is definitely the best for my money. Level design was a bit unnecessarily annoying, but the sheer amount of detail in the environment... I think the KH2 and BBS remixes of the music lose something, too.

I actually enjoyed all the jumping and puzzles you had to do to get around. But I hate hate hated the stop lifts! I always got confused D:
The only theme I actually listen to is the original. You can't change the melancholy that lies in it.

Arrrgh, the lift stop! And that one room JUST before the chapel, where there's nothing to stop you from falling down to the lower level if you get too close to the edge...

Yeah, I actually really like the waistcape. (Possibly because I saw one on Sydney Losstarot first and he made it awesome, but anyway.) I'm perfectly willing to ignore some skirtiness. XD

You describe things I took for granted in the game in a fantastic way that makes me THINK. I love the text.
...but I love the actual art too, of course. The way you used black and white to accent what was important is fantastic.

I loved that line. Rising Falls always creeped me out...I hated going back there...
I can see why you condensed it; it works. (aww, poor Donald and Goofy XD) Since it's basically from Kairi's perspective, and she wasn't really important until the end...I mean, she appeared and talked to Sora in some of the worlds, but if you described one you would've had to do all of them, and that would have taken forever.
Ack, I'm rambling. I basically wanted to say that I love this. <3 Looking forward to the next one!

It creeped me out and fascinated me all at once. That whole world was all so... beautifully, creepily broken.
Yeah. Any less condensed, and I'd have had to at least mention the three times you meet Riku before Hollow Bastion, and that would've dragged. Besides, this is "how she lost her fear" and Hollow Bastion is where the relevant stuff to that happens.

Creepy? I found it beautiful o.O at the time I asked "Why doesn't water flow up?"
That whole world seemed somehow eerily right to me, which is ironic because in the continuity it is, in fact, fundamentally wrong.
But there was certainly something about Hollow Bastion as a whole which resonated with me. I was so upset with the new style they gave it in KHII... it was just... lesser.
Then again, I am also insane.

Yes, it was pretty, but creepy at the same time. Not anywhere I'd wanna live, at least. It did reflect the nature of the world very well.
