I finally had enough time to start colouring the bird nest sketch. However the sketch was painted on a poor paper and I didn’t want to risk the picture. Decides I didn’t like the tree in the sketch. The branches should never grow straight down.So I decided to draw the picture again on a watercolour paper. I tried to keep the general idea as the same, but I altered many things in the picture. I used the masking fluid to protect the branches and the leaves while colouring the background. It helped a lot and gave me finally a chance to use really dark background. Some of the leaves are still a little bit messy, but some succeeded quite well.

You have really intrigued me over the months, and in anticipation of the release of same, I'd like to be on hand as a person of real interest in your work. It's that good, your work, and truly original, perhaps inspired, I'd say. You won't find me saying these things about others on this site, though I love most art and artists.

I'm planning to write and try to get it published. It might take many many years thou. I'm just in the beginning of the writing process. (The cipparies and the story however have been living inside my head for almost five years.) I have almost decided how the storyline goes and I have detailed plans for almost all the major scenes. (Especially for my favourites.) I have written parts of several scenes, but they are still going to be altered many times before I have something final. I’m writing in my free time, so the process is really really slow.
You don't know how happy your comments make me every single time. It is really encouraging to hear that someone is really interested in my work.

The only critique could be that the nest seem to be somewhere deep in a cave, it think brown background gives this effect ..

I have always difficulties whit the background. This picture is more a pose picture, so I tried to paint an effect background that would add a little bit more emotion to the picture. Maybe the picture would have been better whit a different kind of background or whit a different coloured background. Well... better luck next time.
