Go test it on Yamagata's 300 year old cherry tree!(fanfiction reference. I don't own the fanfiction) The picture is very deep; a literal look in Kenshin's philosophy. I love the tranquility of the backround and the serenity of the scene.

This is very nice. I like the considering look in his eyes and that his grip on the sword is very realistic. The background is really quite stunning, and all of it is framed well by the shoji and screen. Lovely.

It seems pretty canon to me. I'm sure Kenshin needed some time to practice with the Sakabatou and get used to the reversed weight in his hands. To a highly trained swordsman, even the tiniest differences in the weight of a blade would be a huge distraction.
