the way you use all the patterns makes so much movement, i feel like i am looking at it through pool water in the sunlight. very strange and beautiful <3

It was somewhere around 100 hours. A lot of that time was taken up with composition changes. I am trying to work that out better before I begin. Thanks!

they look great on your website, too, but no photograph every really does a painting justice. you just can't get the scale and texture.

Love the fantasy aspect of this painting. Must have been quite a challenge to paint all of those little rocks. It reminds me of some of the 70's artists in the books I used to collect. Great piece!

Thanks! I love paintings those rocks, at least to a point. There always comes a time when I stop and ask why I do that to myself, then I continue painting.

Hi Amy... I had a similar feeling when I painted this fisherman and sunset (think I will post it later). The canvas is 4 ft tall, and when I painted the willow branches, I kept having to load and reload the brush with black paint and try and continue the long drooping branches. I swore to myself that I would never paint another tree again.......

Pretty colors and textures. I like the poor little patterned doll too. I dont see the gold on the ribbons ,but I can imagine how neat it must look in person.

Yes, the gold didn't photograph at all. THey just look white, but in person they really pop.
