Description
This is a concept art for Link as he appears in my Zelda fanfiction, The Ancient Power. :3In other words, he's Adult Link from Zelda: Ocarina of Time as I would picture him, only with the Great Fairy's Sword from Majora's Mask in his sheath instead of the Master Sword (my story takes place seven years after MM). And yes, I know, I kind of over did it a little on the right bicep. xP
Personality wise, 17-year-old Link is, of course, courageous and passionate, but behind that is a guy who simply loves what he does. He enjoys pummeling monsters into oblivion and simply having a good time on his quests. Obviously though, he gets more serious when things are really bad and he tries not to be overconfident even if he is having fun.
However, Link is also tends to not plan ahead and sometimes finds himself ill-prepared for a situation (such as when a burn he's unable to heal almost kills him). He can also be a bit reckless, but all of this is helped when Kelli and Daphnes point him in the right direction.
Overall, he's the kind of guy who'd say to you, "Need some monsters vanquished? I'm your hero!"

You should post this story here like you do with your FE one.
Nice job on the personality guess, he's a silent protagonist, so that's not ever explored in the game. I'm curious about the burn and how it occured. Lava or what? *is reminded of how Skyward Sword Link reacts to falling in lava* xD I honestly don't blame him there. If I got my butt burnt I'd yell too.
Also...does he ever have a love interest in your story? I don't know enough about Kelli to correctly make this assumption, but it would make sense to pair the two heroes up. Going on an adventure together just might have that effect. Ocarina of Time seriously made him a pimp though -_- Zelda, Malon, Ruto, Saria, the list goes on and on.
Logically though, Ruto's out. Their kid would be a hybrid abombination, probably sterile like a mule...causing the zora royal bloodline to stop right there. If it's even possible that is...I mean, with Saria, kokiris are pretty much just short hylians. It would be like a pomeranian having puppies with a lab or something. And Malon and Zelda are hylians too, so no genetic problems there.

Yeah, but I don't want to clutter up my gallery too much with story chapters and my FE fic already has a lot because several chapters are divided into two parts. xP
Link's not silent. He talks just as well as any other character. His dialogue is just never shown to us. But he's proven that he can talk. He introduces himself to people, he explains things to people when he needs to, etc (this is especially evident in TP and SS). And in TWW, Link actually yells "Come on!" when he wants a statue/Medli/Makar to follow him in the corresponding dungeon. And I didn't GUESS his personality, I just created one for him. xP
As for how Link got the burn, a Torch Slug splattered on a wall when Link dodged its lunge and some of its fiery hot body splashed on his arm.
I'm a LinkxZelda fan, so I'm pairing them up. As for Kelli, she'll get her turn for romance in the sequel. ;D If you'd like to read the fic, I have it on fanfiction.net. My username there is EmblemQueen.

Yeah that's pretty much what I meant when I said silent protagonist. I know he can talk...believe it or not I've seen some people say he can't! Which is crazy.
Understandable. I don't go on that site much though...I've heard horror stories about it. Yoai smut fics, trolls, flame wars over pairing preferences... *shudders* That and I prefer DA's way of posting stories. On Fanfiction.net you have to make a whole new document for each chapter. On DA you can just copy and paste it in.
Hmm, torch slug? You mean like a red chuchu? I havent played much of the games in the series. Beaten TP, working on SS, played a bit of OoT on virtual console, want to play WW. So are torch slugs in any of the games or did you make them up?
Link x Zelda to me is for SS. TP Link, Ilia. OoT Link, Malon or Saria, can't decide.

No. Torch Slugs are in OoT. They primarily appear in the Fire Temple.
I support LinkxZelda in all games except for TP. In which, I support LinkxAshei instead. I hate Ilia. She's an annoying brat. I don't like Malon much either. She's boring. Saria would make Link look like a pedo. Ew.

Yeah Ashei would work. Link and Ilia were childhood friends though, and I'm a sucker for childhood friend pairings...as for Saria making him look like a pedo, lol I never thought of that. Kokiris are just short hylians, right? Just dwarves without beards and battle axes, and I think in stories with dwarves, they're paired with taller races...
I've heard people talk about that stuff on forums. I admit I havent seen it myself though.

They were childhood friends, but they were also foster siblings. One reason why I don't like the pairing and find it rather creepy. Another, I've never liked Geoffrey. I've always found Ike and Elincia to be adorable together and with no one else. I'm a major fan of them. <3
And no, Kokiri are forest children who don't grow up. They could never be able to reproduce, even if they wanted. So Saria would definitely make Link look like a pedophile.

Hmm. Then how does the species survive? If kokiris never age and have kids, wouldn't their race die out quickly? And I think I remember something about Mido making another kokiri clean Saria's front yard and taking credit for it so she would like him. If they remained children forever that sort of thing wouldnt happen. They would probably all think the opposite gender had cooties lol. I think they just never age past puberty. But yes, now that I think about it, that would look a bit wrong.
Man, I've really got to play OoT again and get these things straight...my friend came over and went through Jabu Jabu without getting Din's Fire, which I wanted -_- Started a new file and havent played since.

Ah, I see. I apologize if I sounded too defensive, by the way. I'm a big sucker for romance, but only with pairings I like. I hate it between pairs I don't like. I don't like that I take it so seriously, but I can't help it. But, I usually don't like leaving anyone out either. If I prefer Elincia with Ike instead of Geoffrey, which I do, of course, then I'll hook Geoffrey up with someone else, which I intend to, actually. I believe romance is something every good person deserves to have (I do hate Geoffrey, but he's obviously not a bad guy, so yeah).
About the Kokiri, Mido could just want Saria to favor him over Link. He doesn't necessarily want her to love him and stuff. They're children lol. And the Great Deku Tree gives life to all of the Kokiri. That's how they survive.

Yeah I figured it had something to do with the Deku Tree or the forest...but I was wondering how the whole race even started. A bunch of hylian kids wandering into this sacred forest? Weird. Almost weirder than the gerudos. Almost. Male gerudos are only born once every 100 years? That's just screaming for incest -_- Somebody(the same person who was making the twili comic) told me that they bring in male hylians to filter out the gene pool a bit, but what about the resulting offspring? Are they considered pure bred gerudos or gerudo/hylian hybrids?
Well neither race appeared in Twilight Princess, so obviously they died out xD Them and redeads. God I absolutely hate those things. I think Wind Waker takes place long after Twilight Princess though, and I also think it has redeads. Zombies will always find a way...

It just made me feel like I got punched in the gut and I couldn't keep myself from throwing insults right back at her.
But, while the staff had reason enough to give me some kind of punishment (I expected either a heavy infraction or a two month ban), but I did NOT expect them to consider permabanning me. I'm not permabanned right now, but I heard from my friend Papahl that they were undecided about it.
The reason they considered it is my past troubles, but that's hardly enough. I've received a total of four bans not including this one, but two of them were mistakes. One was due to mods accidentally infracting me twice for the same offense and the second was Radek being a douche (his reason was literally "so you don't come back"). Rad and I agree the mods were abusing their power on me, and we have reason to believe it because it wouldn't be the first time it's happened.

Well, I see a lot of the "inside action" myself, since I am married to Notsil. I wouldn't say I have a TON of clout with any of them, since I'm not actually a staff member. You have caused the mod team a lot of strife in the past. But they really bring it upon themselves, I think. Your action immediately gets it's own thread and then they all discuss and argue it for DAYS instead of just going "she broke "x" rule, she gets "x" punishment." I believe all this time they've spent has gone into your banning, as well. They have exhausted themselves dealing with a member.
I personally was worried that you would be banned/punished and no one else would receive any sort of punishment. They tend to do this with you, I've noticed: they focus only on you, and not on anyone else, even if the other people involved were breaking rules (case in point, your banning before this, which I feel like I underhandedly caused). I think you and EL were both out of line, but I am sure EL will come out of this unscathed. She was particularly nasty to you in some of those VMs, to the point of harassment almost, and they didn't do anything to her. That is unfair.
And regarding that Link vs. Ike piece, she just shouldn't have posted it on ZU. I can't tell the girl what to draw and all, but it was... mean-spirited.
Hopefully this all gets sorted out. I just want things to be fair. If they truly feel a ban is necessary, then ugh, but you cannot possibly be the only person at fault here.

I agree, they do mostly bring it upon themselves. But I can't just take none of the blame. I think I insulted EL a little more than she did me, but yes, she should have been punished as well. Raddy thinks the mods only did this to me because I'm a less popular member and such. And I somewhat agree. This wouldn't be the first time that they've abused me. Radek actually banned me once with his reasoning being "so you don't come back." This was quickly lifted though.
But yes, Rad and I also agree EL should have been punished. The staff themselves told me that it takes two to tango! How can they not follow their own advice?
And about the Link vs Ike piece, while I wasn't insulted by the piece itself (I could've easily decided to draw a picture of Ike killing Link, because I don't like the latter much anymore, so I have no right to argue against the opposite image. Plus, I know that Ike would totally destroy Link in a fight any day, no questions asked), I did not like the title she chose. That wasn't any Link vs Ike picture. It's a Link Killing Ike picture. I would have suggested that title to EL, but now I fear that any time I speak to her, she'll argue with me, so I'm just going to ignore her from now on.
Also, maybe we should take this to a private conversation?

It may be more helpful if you did not mention EL. There really isn't much to say on the subject, other than what happened has happened and everyone will hopefully move on from it without being too bothered in the long run. I only hope everything works out in the end.

This looks pretty good. I just love the way you drew Link's clothes and body form. Having the Great Fairy Sword in the sheath is also a nice touch, but I can picture whoever made the sheath having a good laugh about the colors of the sword. I'm wondering about the background though. I wonder if the Moon symbol could fit in there. What do you think? Well, please let me know and thanks for the reminder.

Eh, I just wanted a little touch instead of leaving the background plain white. And I don't know about fitting in the moon symbol. Link doesn't know of his destiny in TAP yet when the story begins, so I figure putting in the moon would spoil it. xP
And as for the sheath, I was trying to imply that as he grew up, Link needed a bigger sheath than the little one that held the Kokiri Sword/Razor Sword/Gilded Sword, and all he could do was buy a cheap-looking one (though it works well enough). I suppose he could've bought a new sword as well, but why when he's got that awesome Great Fairy's Sword, which is just Adult Link's size? XD
I never did say what he did with the Kokiri Sword though. I guess I'll say he got rid of it in fear that the Kokiri wouldn't like the resulting Gilded Sword after the re-forge lol.

I still think whoever he bought that sheath from probably had a good laugh when he saw the sword. Lavender isn't exactly a masculine color. Hmmm. Well, having the Triforce as a background seems workable, but kinda obvious. I was tempted to suggest the Kokiri Emerald, but since Link is wearing green that might not be a hot idea. As for the Gilded Sword, I have a thought. You remember Anju and Kafei? Maybe he left it with them, so their kid could be a hero as well. You gotta admit, Anju and Kafei showed a lot of courage in their own way.

Link couldn't have left it in Termina though, because he left with the sword. The ending of the game shows it. Besides that, he wouldn't get rid of it THAT early, he's still a kid then. XD

Ah, but supposed that some of the lands he searched spirale outward from Termina and, when he decided to search in a different direction for Navi, he passed through Termina again? Maybe he'd outgrown the Kokiri Sword at one such point.
