Yes, everybody's favorite blue haired mercenary is back for the adventure of Fire Emblem: Dawn of Darkness!
Complete with new sword (sort of) and sexy muscles. :3

Ike is returning as a Hero again in this fanfic of mine, and when Ettard (his beginning sword in RD) is snapped in two by bandits (it was an accident though, believe it or not), Ike must get it reforged because it seems that sword holds a special little spot in his heart (plus it's the only weapon he has at the time, go figure). The result is named Ettardios, since it's more powerful and more durable, not to mention heavier.
The weight is no problem for Ike though, since he has those muscles. ;D
Anyway, Ike has also become quite famous with not just Tellius, but also the new continent of Altarais to an extent! Stories of his heroism travel as Tellius citizens come to explore this new place and spread the tales. Also, this may just be RD Ike with a new sword, but there's differences! For example, he retains the ability to use axes, so now he can use them as a Hero. And, though his promotion will still be Vanguard, he won't be getting it until probably kinda late in the story, later than he got it in RD, that's for sure. The reasons for this is that Ike's obviously going to be plenty strong from the start, so yeah. xP
Yes, the cape is a bit too red (oops). The face is probably slightly inaccurate as well, but as long as Ike looks hot, I'm fine with it. <3
The pose was picked for two reasons: one, cause I think Ike holding his weapon over his shoulder makes him look even stronger and more powerful (not to mention more hawt, haha), and two, so he can flex his right arm muscle. x3

I didn't think RD's ending was really bad, it just wasn't awesome. Why make Ike leave and never return to Tellius? That just doesn't sound like him at all. Not to mention he wasn't paired with Elincia like he should have been. PoR implied so much about Ike and Elincia developing feelings for one another, then RD ruined it. That is just...really stupid.
Then again, it could be a sign that a third game will be added. Every time I say that though, people just tell me "no, Ike's story is finished and there are never more than two games on one continent." Hello, dumbasses, nothing says IS isn't allowed to make a trilogy for one thing, and for another, it'd be new and original to overturn an actual canon pairing for another one (Geoffrey/Elincia to Ike/Elincia).

I see were you are going (although i don't prefer Ike/Elincia my own preference sry) But yeah i thought he could just lead the mercenaries and go on life. Yet sadly i think Nintendo has dropped The Tellius Series because Shadow dragon has already come out...I hope there is a third game but the chances are slim (Just gotta keep dreamin'!and hopin'!)

I don't think so. SD was just a remake. We have yet to see something brand new. And considering Ike hasn't married yet and the mysterious reasons why PoR suggested Ike/Elincia but RD didn't...well, it makes me think IS may actually be planning a little twist similar to what I have happening in my fanfic.
I think Ike really left out of grief. I think he did love Elincia, he just didn't make it really obvious. Elincia did make her feelings for him kinda obvious though. She flirted with him in PoR and they even held hands. She also says "my noble Ike" in her death quote and that's in part 4 Endgame of RD, actually.
I think if IS does make a third game, Elincia will leave Geoffrey and find Ike because maybe they had to hide their relationship or put it on hold or something. Believe me, I can think of a few different reasons why this would be. xP

Hey there; two thumbs WAY, wat up! The work you did on his clothes, body form and sword is just spectacular. I also love the work you did with the background, the parchment color and the afterimage of Ike in the back is great. I also like the work you did on Ettardios, the design of the hilt in particular. Well, I can't think of anything to recommend as far as improvements go. I am wondering though, how many of these DoD arts do you have left to do? I've lost track. And yeah, I decided to make my DoD character concept artwork FE styled and those always have parchment-like backgrounds and sometimes after-images (like in the case with RD artwork).
And I don't know how many I'll do. I do know I want to do art of the characters I'm pairing and major characters though.

Yeah, Azura would make sense with him, considering they do have much in common when it comes to their histories, but I figured I'd like Azura better with Leyon and Bryan better with a Pegasus Knight that he actually met a year prior to DoD's events and saved. xP
Leyon was partially inspired by Kieran, actually (of course, Leyon isn't quite as clumsy as he is, haha), since he's got red armor and axes and stuff, and to pair Azura with a character like that just sounds awesome.
Oh, not to mention Azura would be just perfect at comforting him over his lost brother (who will turn out to not be dead after all later, of course).
Btw, that reminds me, Marc is inspired by Oscar and Kent. Marc knows how to keep his cool like Oscar and he gets embarrassed at Leona's behavior like Kent is at Sain's in FE7 (even down to facepalming. XD), haha.

Fascinating. And, yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing how Leyon+Azura works out. I myself overlooked Kieran as being clumsy, his gung-hoishness was too attention grabbing. He struck me as the sort who's passionate about his duty but who doesn't have his head bolted on quite right. And, yeah, it'll be interesting to meet another Pegasus Knight. Do you have any advance details you'd like to share? Also, are you sure you got that dynamic right between Marc and Leona? Marc seems more the troublemaker to my eye, but perhaps I am mistake. What do you mean Marc seems like the troublemaker? I don't see that at all. Not that it offends me or anything, it's just Marc isn't supposed to be a troublemaker, you know? He just tends to make a few accidental mistakes here and there, is all. That's what Leona means when she says she was probably stuck with him to babysit him. XD
And I simply find Kieran hilarious and awesome. In fact, if I were in the FE world, I'd have a crush on him. He's that cool, imo.
Btw, I've been debating with myself whether or not I should make Marc and Leona an actual pairing instead of an implied one (meaning they don't actually end up marrying or anything in the end, but they're implied to be in love/fall in love later), seeing as they do end up finally admitting their feelings at some point after having worked together so much and been through so much together. You know?

The thing is that I already have several pairings I'm doing, including Ike/Elincia. There's Bryan/Faline and Leyon/Azura, of course. And Ranulf/Kiara. There's one more pairing, but I haven't mentioned these characters yet and they won't be around for awhile.
Ah heck, I'm a pairing nut. Why should I resist? I'll do it. Marc and Leona will be a pairing.
I have another pairing that will be implied as well, but they'll stay that way in the story. XD

Ooh, the suspense is killing me. I'll keep an eye on my notes for the next chapter. And, yeah, I like the idea of Marc and Leona being paired up. Between Fire Emblem Blazing Sword's Hector and Lyn and Golden Sun's Garet and Jenna, I have a fondness for pairing up hotheads.
