The pencil work and highlights are perfect - its a shame that the mane is not as realistic as the rest and that the head is a bit too small

D8 YOU HAVE IMPROVED! The coat looks super delicious right now and you're getting really good at making it more realistic than the last time I remember! I think you did a fantastic job here. And the only place where I think you should focus more on is the head (it lacks the constant shine in the body so it doesn't draw the eye). Otherwise, good job. ^_^

Hmm, I knew the head wasn't a good likeness of the photo but I thought it looked quite nice. Please try to explain how/why it looks odd to you. (this may help me make better drawings in the future- knowing whats wrong is half the battle

hmm well it's kind of hard to explain. I think that umm.. the angle that the head is at and how the ears are placed that you should see more of the front of the face and some of the nostril farthest away from the viewer. If that makes any sense

Oh I get what you mean, that was very well explained. There is a tiny bit of the front of his face showing- but its in shadow. I understand that it would look better with more of the front of his face showing because of the posittioning of the neck and ears.
