Absolutely fantastic!! Great use of atmospheric effects and ecosystems...I'm impressed with the details in this scene! The birds above the rocks are a nice touch as well!

The image was generated in Vue.
The rocks in the soil before Zbrush model.
The plants are not pre-rendered to take both the final render.

wow, this is an incredible scene! looks to me like you've got vue pretty mastered. i could never get it to put out things the way i wanted to even though i knew it's potential, so i'll just leave it up to the masters of the vue.

Although I have 23 years working in 3D animation and just 2 months I've been using Vue. Before touch sporadically for any particular job I was desperate.
This time I decided not to sleep until mastered. Domain but not defend myself.

Also, 17 minutes for the render? What settings are you using, and how many polygons in the scene?

Work is a bit atypical. I can not stand to wait many hours to render. I was overwhelmed. I decided to learn to optimize my scene. The vegetation is pre-rendered and meters Projected in capsules and model forms of trees down. As the geometry is volume light affects the trees, plants and so on. This scene, in the traditional way spoil my computer and take several hours of rendering.
The scene is GI and has 8 million faces only. Never use a generated sky vue (not quite like me, not quite real). Using photographic images of 360 ΒΊ or HDRI. The Waterfall put it in photoshop.
Usually much retouch my images (my forte). This did not.
I hope you understand my vocabulary. The languages are not mine.
