My second entry for Different-Art 's November contest. Since I know that everyone and their sister is going to go for the usual gems, I decided to try and see if any others caught my eye. Tourmaline is considered an alternative birthstone for October and comes in a lot of colors 4csblog.gia.edu/wp-content/upl… . Hmm... Let me think of some gems that seem magical.
Alexandrite... red under artilical light, green under natural light...
Corderite, that changes colors in respect to direction of sun (yellow one way, purple other way)
Labradorite with flashy yellows, blues, and orange reflections...
