Description Well, I promised that I would draw her orca character Naih in my style of art, so here ya go!! A scene out of a roleplay when shes playing with jellies..

Not too much a fan of her flukes.. but the rest i'm happy with. This picture didn't take me too long to do, maybe 3 hours?
I also decided that she looked better without the outline on this specific picture.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! Sorry, I don't know how to put it links and stuff to the picture, references, and other profiles. Haven't ever been able to do that.. Anyway, Enjoy!

This is too cute, and from one of my favorite scenes in the role play! She looks amazing, her pose and the shading/reflections!
Her flukes look perfect! I know what you mean though, flukes are the hardest part for me too, I spend so long trying to make them look decent XD
Thank you sooo much for drawing her!

I have Tang's sketch done so I'll hopefully colour him tonight or tomorrow

Good. I'm so glad you like it! She did take me a little while to do.. I kinda added the sand in the bottom of the picture, like yours on the RP site.

Yeah, I figured I would draw her doing a scene from the rp.. it just didn't seem right if i drew her breaching her something.. i tried to bring out her calm demeanor.

Yes, flukes are REALLY hard. I'm really hard on myself alot of times, and i end up drawing the flukes a million times sometimes before i get it to where i'm happy..

As I said to Orkid, Thanks! I am VERY hard on myself sometimes, and when I'm doing my art, sometimes i erase the flukes a million times before i find one position that i like...

My half is in the works too.. ^^ I also have another thing i'm working on.. for my dads b-day Sept. 12. its a 2007 mustang GT. a digital painting of one.

Flukes look fine to me, as does the rest of it. It's a nice little illustration.

Thanks! Sometimes my orca anatomy isn't all, in proportion. I'm a really hard critic on myself sometimes because of it.

Same here. There's always some variation between paintings of the same given character. It's why I'm so leery of making ref sheets. Sometimes, you just gotta learn to think, "Oh, well" if a given part doesn't seem to be turning out correct, despite repeated tries, yet it still looks all right.

yeah, usually its the way people do their orcas.. for example, when i started doin digital paintings, i had a mix of like, 3 or 4 different deviants on here for shadings and stuff and i eventually came up with my own... apparently people like it...

Yes, you have a good, distinct style going on when it comes to cetaceans. And only the artist in question has the real say as to whether or not the direction in which they are developing is what they want.
