Description This picture is pretty much what the title says.. and is based off of Eric Church's song, "The Hard Way"
Pretty much what the song is about is about regret, not doing what you should have done, and then feeling horrible for it later. I know I've done that a few times..

"Regret's been know to give a man a beatin'
But I ain't in the mood for fightin' back this evenin'"

Country music describes EXACTLY how you're feeling at that exact moment.. and when i drew this picture.. that's what I felt like. Not to mention i was kind of high, but that's besides the point.

Anyway, here is Tang in his natural form, and of course, my art reflects my mood.
I haven't been in a good mood at all lately, not even good enough to do my art work.

Even when not feeling well, you sure can paint beautiful whales. This is tragic but lovely.

Wouldn't his natural form have a straight dorsal fin? (not arguing, valid question) (:

Well, yes.
Natural looking vs more cartoon like, blocky. etc. is actually what i'm talking about.

Orca fins flop over for various reasons, some say it's because of captivity, or lack of exercise.
Orcas use their dorsal for steering and balance.  when you have an orca that's been in captivity, the dorsal becomes obsolete, in a sort of way because they are not using it for the wild..
Tang is my "orcasona" if you will, an orca-fied version of me..
I've been through alot, so his flopped dorsal fin is symbolic to me..
I hope that cleared some stuff up though..

Well usually the flop is assosiated with physical trauma. In the wild it is extremely rare and usually the result of an impact, with a boat usually, but in captivity there is little exercize and room, and no natural ocean currents so it cannot straighten.
