Worked on this guy the entire day yesterday while listening to A Game of Thrones
Now that I've started listening to audiobooks, I don't have to choose between reading and crocheting!

That's a great idea to listen to audio books while crocheting why didn't I think of that! I've been trying to watch movies but they're so distracting. This deku link is looking really awesome! I can't wait to see him finished.

I'm glad you noticed the brown.. since it isn't actually variegated yarn.. haha I was trying to figure out how to get more of a textured look and ended up adding in crochet thread here and there. I think it doubled the time it should have taken to finish those parts because of the extra strands in the way

where did you get that technique? Doo you have a book reference or just tried to add it?
DO you split a single yarn into thread and just add it to it like a normla color change but with it following the initial color thread all along?

I've never listened to an audio book before. I'm not sure how I'd like it, because I'm usually the type of person who needs to look at something in order to pay attention, but I kind of want to give it a try now, since I usually miss all of the important parts of a movie while I'm crocheting.

I usually don't listen to audiobooks either but I've found that it's better than having to choose between my two loves
