I just finished this for my friend's birthday! :333 She loooves Avatar too, actually she was telling me how awesome it was about a year before I even saw it!
Anywho, I drew Katara for her because my friend's a bronze goddess, and she would pull off this cosplay perfectly XD
Was a bit skeptical with how the waterbending-part would turn out, but I'm pretty please with it!

I think the water looks beautiful! You've captured the irridescence of it, and I think how it flows and expands, and it's hard to predict what it will do next. I also love the lighting of the background--it draws your focus in to Katara. It must have taken quite a while to do all that shading on her clothes! I'm not sure if her skirt would really move like that (farbric is tricky to understand) but her face and hair are lovely. Well done!
