PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING: The demon is sealed in an object inside the chest and when Len looked inside it possessed him BUT since the object is still intact, it is still sealed. The demon can only possess someone for a short time as long as the seal is intact.
Now on this page, the demon’s time is up and its spirit leaves Len’s body. Len, now free, is furious at himself for what happened but he’s also furious at the demon – that’s why he tosses the chest over the edge of the mountain.
This is the last page of Chapter 1

Great page, you really conveyed Len's emotion... Though, I think that Len's throwing the chest off the cliff wasn't the smartest move... what if the object breaks? However, Len has an excuse: he was just forced to kill his best friend.

Acutally it won't be told until a few chapters on...
...but I'll tell you now anyway! (cuz it's not exactly a spoiler) Len went back to his pack, Amaranth, after this and told them everything that had happened.
He isolated himself from everyone, even his own mate and pups, and eventually died with the grief
