We finally got a chance to take an actual photoshoot with my Mandalorian armor while we were at Metro! I'm so excited to get more of these pictures! Expect a dump of this very soon!
For those who are unfamiliar with this costume, this is a custom set of Mandalorian armor I built pretty much from the ground up, with a lot of help from my cosplay group, of course! I plan on using this costume to apply for official membership with the Mandalorian Mercenaries Costume Club once I get some of the kinks worked out and some things readjusted.
I was so excited to wear this costume for two out of the three days we spent at Metro, I haven't been really able to wear it since Megacon because we completely redid my vest.

What do you call the back cape thing on that armor, I might use it in the future, but I've been looking for what it's call for awhile and I'd really like to know.

You mean the cloth draped around my waist? We call that a kama. Some Clone troopers have them as well!

Actually, no... That is not a darksabre, my friend. That would be a blastsword. Basically a Star Wars gunblade, instead of stabbing people I shoot them at point blank. It can also be turned down to stun in case I want to collect a non-lethal bounty. It IS lightsaber resistant though!

Ah I see. Well you can see why I made such a mistake; visually they look identical. Is the blastsword a new thing?

Their design are actually quite different, but that's just coming from the guy who spent hours looking at reference pictures to make the thing, haha ^^
And no actually, blastswords aren't really a new thing, they're just rare, and they only really get mentioned in a few places in the Star Wars expanded universe. There's really only one canon artistic representation of the thing, so I based mine off of that.

They might say that you either need to add knee plates or make your shins longer.
Other than that, straighten your chest plates before taking the approval pictures, and you're good. I think.

My shnees were riding a little bit low, but they've been making a habit of doing that, so I might just extend the tops with some knee cap plates. And the magnets holding my armor on shifted a little bit, I plan on straightening those out before I send in my actual apps. Thanks for the critique though ^^
