Description

Even after learning of his destiny and role in the fight against evil, Link still returned to Ordon village whenever he could. It was on one of these visits that he encountered one of his strangest quests yet...

Ilia had been dotting around the village, helping her neighbors with all sorts of different tasks. One of them asked her to go fishing, so she headed down to the river. By the bank, she saw a peculiar plant, of a species she had never seen before. Ilia couldn't help but be curious. She reached out to examine it...

Suddenly the plant sprang to life. It spat a purple fluid at Ilia, startling her and causing her to fall back. Its bud opened, revealing rows of sinister teeth. Ilia thought it would attack her, bracing itself, but instead it remained still, as if waiting for something.

Link suddenly appeared, seemingly from nowhere. With a single stroke of the Master Sword, he killed the flowery foe. Ilia was glad to see him, but had a funny feeling washing over her. It felt like she was sinking into the ground. Not just that, but everything around her seemed to enlarge, including Link. She stood up, but that afforded her only a small boost in height. For she had somehow been reduced in size, standing smaller than even the shortest child in the village. In fact, she was closer to matching the village cats in size.

Link was shocked, but more than that concerned. He wordlessly expressed a desire to help Ilia get back to normal. Crouching down, he gathered a sample of the peculiar plant, before scooping up Ilia herself. He then hastily carried her through the village, as though she were a cat, thinking of someone who could help.

Being held in such a way, and taken through the village where anyone could see her, was incredibly embarassing for the suddenly small Ilia. Yet she was happy at the same time, leaning into the chest of her hero...
