Description

Sick of being cooped up in the castle all day, Zelda often snuck out to go on secret adventures. Anywhere outside was fine, but she tended to stick to places where few people ventured, so there was little chance of her being recognized and reported to her protectors.

On one such occasion, she ventured deep into the woods. Zelda was unaware of the legends surrounding this place- that it was inhabited by fairies, particularly mischevious ones. Though dark, there were flowers of many colors within the woods, the little light that filtered down softly illuminating them. In fact, to Zelda's mind, that was part of the charm, giving the place an almost magical feel.

As she walked in deeper, Zelda was unaware that she was being followed. One by one, fairies started to trail after her in secret, hiding among the leaves and branches. They took an interest in their unusual visitor...

Whilst admiring a clump of purple flowers, Zelda suddenly felt a little strange. The slightest hint of magic. She glanced over her shoulder, catching sight of a floating light.

Is that a fairy? She briefly wondered. Suddenly she was falling, rapidly descending into darkness. Zelda cried out as she plummeted, but it ended quickly. She was left in near total darkness. A sudden gust of wind startled her, chilling the princess. But then there was some light once more. Zelda found herself staring at the same flowers once more. Only, from below.

Did I shrink? She wondered. Legends had told of such a thing being possible. Glancing around, she saw she was surrounded by a huge tent that somewhat resembled her clothes. Or rather, as she quickly realized, they were her clothes, and she had indeed shrunk.

"My clothes!" Zelda worried she was now naked, having shrunk into her clothes, which was far from appropriate for a royal. But when she glanced down, she saw she was wearing a little pink dress, one that seemed to glow with light.

Something brushed against her hair, and she felt a strange sensation on her back. Zelda glanced over her shoulder, but immediately flinched. For there were wings right behind her! She at first believed them to be those of a bug right behind her. However, she could somehow feel through them. In fact, when she felt a little braver and inspected them, she found they were attached to her- her very own pair of wings!

"Am I a fairy?" she breathed. She certainly looked the part, and was glowing with a magical light, just like the little women floating around her. It seemed the forest had a new fairy, though time would tell if she turned out to be as mischevious as the rest...
