Every day in Hyrule was stranger than the last. The Princess hypothesized that Ganon was to blame, the seal on the demon king gradually weakening over time. Doorways appeared all across Hyrule- strange portals that led to alien, but strangely familiar landmarks. None of the sages had ever written anything about this, nor were there any historical records of such an occurance.
Zelda knew not what to do. She calmed her worried subjects, hearing their concerns and giving them wise counsel, but there was not even the slightest clue as to how to deal with these strange portals, beyond which time and space appeared distorted.
At the end of another long day, Zelda retired to her chambers. Yet, when she opened the door to her bedroom, she was shocked to find one of the portals staring back at her. Yelping with surprise, she backed away, only to notice something. She could see a room on the other side, the interior of a building she did not recognize. Intrigued, she leaned in.
Suddenly, a green light jolted out of the portal. It struck Zelda, though the impact was painless. Her body aglow with the strange light, she felt like she was somehow flying. At the same time, her surroundings grew distorted, everything around her growing in size, the portal included. Before she could take stock of this worrying sequence of events, a force pulled her into the portal!
Flying backwards, she landed on her behind on the other side, the portal vanishing a moment later. Behind it was the room she had seen before, only it was many, many times larger.
"Where am I?" Zelda wondered as she stood. "How am I going to get back home?"
Feeling the cool air, she shivered. She suddenly felt very little. When she glanced to her right, she saw a huge glass bottle.
"It's so big!" She marveled. "Then... Am I small?"
There was a cluck of agreement. Startled, she looked to her right to see a massive chicken. She worried about its sharp beak- large enough to do her serious harm. Fortunately, it appeared docile enough.
"What am I going to do?" Zelda wondered aloud. There was no telling what she might find in this strange new world. But she had a sense of foreboding, like something was looming right behind her...
