This hand is killing me. That Daily Dev feature is really deserved.
I like their positions too, looks like they were having a nice moment, fooling around or discussing in a funny position, but got in some sort of argument and now the boy is yelling or crying between his knees, bending from exhaustion or probably, while the girl ignores his lament by sticking her fingers up her ears.

what were your feelings in this? Im curious. To me it looks like a couple who are having problems. The girl is sort of pissed off, the guy upset for whats going on. Shes ignoring him. Thats what I am seeing, but I would like to know what you saw in it. Very nice work! Im loving your gallery!

w o w!! I think both of them are enjoying the various parts of some music playing in the room...the wire and the plug goes to a music system.....the babe is the bass player...so, when you shut your eyes, you feel more bass in the audio around...and the dude is probably a guitar player or singer....he probably has his eyes closed and is lip-syncing with the music.....and dropping the head down to some awesome guitar riffs...he might actually even be shaking his head from side-to-side..
the babe's posture is strange (legs underneath the couch)...I think they were kissing before this scene.
love this any way!

Ohhh... This is fun to interpret...
I wanna say that they're sharing in bad news but at the same time, she doesn't look upset... Or rather if she is, she's trying to look impassive.
Which would lead me to believe she has just given the news and it has something to do with her. I'd say a break up but at the same time, she's in an awfully personal position to have just broken up with him.
Woul dit be extremely far off to say... She was pregnant and aborted the baby? 
It was the title that first made me think "baby." I connected pink to a baby girl. So that's my interpretation, and I guess no interpretation's wrong... She aborted the baby and has just told him and he's devastated. XD...
On the more technical aspect, I envy your realism skills, pal.

I interpreted it more to be that she just told him she's pregnant or has missed a period and he's scared as shit. I say this because of the "red deprivation" comment by whoever suggested this for DD.

Your not the first one to say that, people have also said it looks very sexual and the outlet with the plug in it is a symbol for sex (because one goes in and the other out). Itβs interesting to hear what people say. Thanks for commenting

This brings back feelings of trying to break up with a boyfriend. Not really talking, both people just sort of thinking and being quiet. Not sure what to do. That's my take. Very interesting painting!

OH. . . . . MY. . . . . GOSH!!!!! I THOUGHT IT WAS A PORTRAIT!!!!! BRILLIANT! You captured the wrinkle and poof of the sock, the vein bulgies in his arm, the bone structure of her wrist, the plug in looks spantastic, it's absolutely P E R F E C T!!!!! Answer me one thing though.....what's the mood or the setting, what happened because when I seen this as a thumbnail I though, "Oh, how cute, she is listening to music and he is resting on her knees like a good, little lover," but then I saw it like this and there is a totally different feel. So what happened, what;s the mood? EXCELLENT WORK!

Well the setting is in an empty room, I took all my references in an empty house. I didn't really have a specific emotion that I was aiming for. I like leaving it with some ambiguity.

I hate to degrade the emotion of the picture, but, at first glance it looked like she was kicking him in the balls(sorry for the eloquence defeciancy) After paying actual attention to it, I really have to say that I love the plug going into the outlet, it's just a detail that makes it more real...
