We really love thease days when the client come in our workshop and say: Here is my project do as you please. With an picture of a movie: MongolHe dint want a cosplay. He asked us for an usable LARP proof armor with some extra specification as they are:
Every part you see are not only made of Vegetable Leather. It is an Brigandine splintmail. Every metal pieces is fixed by rivet and the leather is shaped around the metal by the help of sewing for an extra cool looking.
There is 2 layer of Vegetable leather of 5-6 oz and 9-10oz, plus an extra layer of 16gage metal between them. An perfect armor to survive on the battle field.
Every parts are amovible if needed. as Always the armor is crafted for mobility.
We did some patina on the armor too for the veteran warrior looking he deserve.

Nous avons vraiment aimé le jour où l'un de nos clients est arrivé avec une photo du film "Mongol" et nous a dit: voici mon projet, je vous fais confiance. Je ne veux pas un Cosplay, mais plutôt une armure conçue pour les GN.
Chaque partie de l'armure doit être fait en cuir végétal 5-6oz et 9-10oz, cela offre plusieurs possibilités d'usure et de maniabilité. Chaque pièce d'acier 16 ga sont fixée par des rivets et le cuir est conçu pour recouvrir le tout. Les coutures sont faites à la main.
Les pièces d'armures sont amovibles pour offrir plusieurs choix de costumes. La patine finale donne réellement un look de vétéran qui vu plus qu'une bataille !

Eh ben, ça c'est de l'armure !
J'aime beaucoup le design final: je trouve que les armures de GN / cosplay on trop souvent tendance à être... Irréalistes: trop décorées, trop de "piquants trop darks", etc. Mais là, ça choquerait pas dans une reconstitution: c'est sans doute pas le design d'une vraie armure mongole d'époque, mais ça n'a rien de choquant pour un amateur tel que moi.

Ok first thing. This is really cool and it has lots of detail which is awesome.
Second thing though...I'm Mongolian and I'm pretty sure that is not what an Ancient Mongol used to look like and it sort of offends me a little bit. It looks to European for me.
Its still pretty cool though. Just puttin' down my thoughts.

Have you red the description about a picture of a movie: Mongol. It's sad if someone realized this movie without being historiacal acurate and my customer to like the armors in the movie ^^ sorry for you

Yeah. I love to use copper rivets for aesthetic effect. They look really good especially after they start to dull. The only problem I found is when they start to turn green if they're not treated right.
