In fact, In genesis it practically is anti-intelligence, because what was the fruit that brought man into original sin (in the gospel)? the fruit from tree of knowledge.

Why should they praise intelligence or logic or reason? The deity of the bible is more concerned with keeping his followers fruitful and multiplying until they strip the land of resources, then he leads them in genocidal attacks on their neighbors. Better to keep the people ignorant so they do not question the paradox between 'Thou shall not kill' and 'Put these people to the sword.'
