Oil on canvas, I forget the size, maybe 9"x12"? I also forget how many hours I put into it. Probably around 7 or 8.

I based this painting on a photo taken by my mom while we were overlooking the Roman Forum (the only change I made was editing out my dad who was blurrily pictured in the left bottom corner). Funnily enough while she was taking pictures with her cheap little instant camera, I was taking pictures with my digital SLR... and she snapped the magic picture! Mine just were not framed as nicely as this one. So thanks, Mom!

I had some difficulty with perspective in this one. I am an artistically inclined person who really CAN'T draw a straight line! Or draw it at the correct angle, at least. I may go back and fiddle with this a little more someday, but for right now, it's resting. I am pleased with the colors and the texture of the trees in the foreground especially.
