Si, he had that badass Antonio Banderas accent. But that Spanish guitar that played every single time he came on-screen made me laugh. XD

Considering how lame humanized versions of the Kirby characters usually are (Kirby's are especially bad usually), this is actually a very interesting design.
Can't tell what type of Dark Matter he is fighting though ; Dark Matters *can* form tentacles but to form the size apparently seen here and the kind of 'tentacles everywhere' effect shown on this pic, there has to be a bunch of them working together. Yet there is only one eye in that mass.
Background is so-so. The cloudy background is really good but the floor and building look a bit too smooth. Likewise, although you got a nice pose with Meta Knight himself, you should have added debris or maybe movement lines/blur to the tentacles and smashed locations to give the impression of the Dark Matter mass attacking (and smashing the floor).

Well, that is not exactly an incorrect interpretation, in a way.
Zero is the embodiment of primordial darkness that existed before and after existence. She is basically the material from which existence was born and she see all of existence as pretty much that disgusting parasite that tore itself away from her, taking a part of herself with it, and Zero make war on the universe to get that part back, pretty much.
Dark Matters are fragments she gave life and sapience to and as such, are extremely alien. They do not have actual immortality or the sheer overwhelming cosmic power that Zero wield but they are still very alien. Dark Matters are individuals but have a hive mind connection that allow them to think and act as one. Due to their liquid nature, this can become literal as many Dark Matters can unite to form stronger forms. Due to this, a Dark Matter invasion is more akin to a massive, black tidal wave washing over everything than a standart invasion (and is likewise insanely brutal ; a single Hyper Zone, a Dark Matter battleship/invasion carrier, can walk over an entire planet in something like a few hours. Both Dreamland 3 and Kirby 64's intro show such events).
To summarize, Zero and her Dark Matters are extremely lovecraftian and basically just as defeatable. The main reason the serie remain so lighthearted is because of Kirby's efforts in keeping Pop Star safe and happy. The moment you step out of Pop Star, the setting become shockingly bleak (the games where you explore outside of Pop Star show dead worlds for light year after light year, the Dark Matters having taken over a significant portion of the universe by the time canon events roll in. Apart from Ripple Star and Helcandra, every planet in the solar system is a dead world (in the way that the Dark Matters messed it up ; one planet has been 'cracked', reduced to debris, the other is covered in a nuclear winter).).

You really should. If only because in my opinion they're still the peak of the serie.
My personal favorite is Kirby 64 but I reckon that Dreamland 3 got more content (Dreamland 3 is the longest game in the serie, pretty much).
The games are slower-paced than Super Star and instead rely on exploring. Instead of a lot of unbalanced abilities with lots of Street Fighter-like combos, the game involve a more limited amount of Copy Abilities but balance them better (each one has its own advantages, drawbacks, and uses). Namely, Dreamland 2 & 3 involving mixing Copy Abilities with different abilities to form different results while Kirby 64 involving mixing two abilities together for results that vary from completely useless to the abilities that Return to Dreamland's Super Abilities are based upon.
The games are significantly more challenging than Adventure/Nightmare in Dreamland and Super Star and notably, every stage has a secondary objective/side-quest that must be completed to reach 100% completion. 100% completion is also required to reach the true ending. The games are not Ninja Gaiden-hard but may be jarring if you're used to Super Star.
Basically, if you want an equivalent in the more recent/well-known games, picture Return to Dreamland but instead of the Super Star abilities, add balanced ones. Oh and have the entire game be in Extra mode from start to finish but without the HP reduction factor.

Dude YES!
This is freaking sweet, man! I love it! Dark matter looks perfect, and I love what you did with the sky and the background.
FINALLY, there's a decently badass picture of a humanized Meta-Knight. Not some bishie or badly drawn/proportioned doodle!
Your contribution to art today has been great!
