"Shut the fuck up!!!" "How dare you talk to your teacher like that?" The loud and angry yelling would be sure to draw the attention of anyone in the vicinity, save for the fact that the school was almost completely empty, most of its inhabitants gone home for the day.
"Huh…" It had caught Luke's ear though, as he had dozed off in the classroom right after his lessons and was only just making his way home. The young man followed the shouting to the staff room, where a familiar sight was unfolding - discipline master and delinquent, locked in another of their many, many arguments.
"Haven't your parents ever taught you the proper way to behave?" Greg was probably the most stereotypical version of a discipline master one might think of - old, harsh, bitter, with little to do but keep a watchful eye out for even the most minor infraction on the rules - which would be punished severely to discourage the offender from making the same mistake ever again.
"Yeah, like they aren't pissed out of their minds anyway…" Leo, meanwhile, was a typical delinquent through and through. Skipping classes, drinking and smoking behind the school, extorting money from his classmates… you name it. It seemed that he wouldn't change his ways no matter how much punishments were thrown at him…
The door opened with a soft creak as Luke stepped inside, and both turned towards him. "Hey, shouldn't you be-" "It's normal for me to be here though, isn't it?" Greg blinked, doing nothing to stop Luke as he sat down on one of the tables. Ever since he had just discovered what he could do, one day out of the blue, there had been precious little opportunities to test it out in the way he would have liked… but today that would change.
"You seem to be facing some problems here?" "Of course!" Having accepted Luke's presence as completely normal, Greg was all too happy to answer. "He just doesn't seem to change no matter how much I try…" "That's because you don't try and see things my way at all!"
Luke had come up with an idea now, and he looked straight into Greg's eyes with a smile. "I kind of understand where you're coming from though… it would be easier to understand him if you were younger, right?" "Definitely…" Greg immediately seemed to stand up taller, the wrinkles disappearing from his face as his body bulked up with a decent amount of muscle.
Soon the old discipline master looked like he was no more than thirty, but neither him nor Leo reacted at all. Luke smiled, pressing on further. "What if you were to approach him from the perspective of a classmate?" "I guess that would be better, but there's no way- urk!!" Greg's voice cracked and became higher pitched, the man shrinking in height and his appearance becoming younger until he looked to be about the same age as Leo.
As Greg's polo shirt and trousers reshaped themselves into a school uniform resembling the one worn by the other two, he smiled, seeming a lot less grouchy than before. And Luke couldn't suppress the small thrill that ran through him, being able to affect and play with reality by just his own words… but the fun part was still yet to come.
"It would be even better if Leo had someone in his life who really understood him. Like a friend…" Both Greg and Leo blinked as Luke's words washed through them, adding in new memories of a life spent by each other's side, always supporting and helping each other out… "Or a girlfriend."
Greg let out a small yelp as his body shivered and changed far more drastically than before, reshaping itself to fit the reality imposed by Luke's words. His hair shot outwards in length as it fell down his back, every blond strand dyed a striking shade of purple as the now-young man's face warped and changed to a more feminine appearance.
The discipline master who could no longer be called a discipline master was certainly coming along quite nicely, as Luke envisioned exactly how he wanted her to look in his mind. Slender physique, sizeable assets, a voice that was husky and melodious… all too soon, where the aging discipline master had been before was a beautiful schoolgirl, blinking her eyes with a hint of confusion.
"Ah…" Even though her body had already accepted the new reality created by Luke, the girl's mind struggled to catch up, the decades' worth of memories living as a male hard to discourage. "Something's… wrong…?" "Of course not! You've always been a girl, Gina…"
"What are you spacing out for, Gina?" As reality settled in around the three, Leo smirked at the girl - even though the delinquent still looked the same, his demeanor seemed softer than before, and the smile he gave his girlfriend was warm and affectionate.
"I was waiting for you, dummy! What'd you get in trouble for again?" "Hey, not fair! The other guy was the one who started shit first!" Luke smiled to himself, silently exiting the classroom and leaving the couple behind. With someone by his side who truly understood him and loved him, maybe the delinquent would finally come to change his ways…
But above all of that… Luke took a deep breath as a joyous smile spread over his face, his heart pounding with exhilaration. It was hard to explain, but there was a thrill to using his power to change someone, watch their lives and realities change at his whim. He really should do this more often…
