Description What IF moment: Curtiss-Wright Aircraft Inc. has a shot at the U.S. Navy's Medium Attack Fighter contract. It's a do or die moment for the struggling aircraft maker. The company pulls out all stops to produce an aircraft that capture the hope to survive as a military aircraft contractor. They design and test prototype CW-200AF,a highly maneuverable strike attack fighter, that carries a heavy load of ordnance to take out ships, and, support ground troops in anti armor missions. After extensive testing by the Navy,Curtiss-Wright was able to procure a production run of 80 A6F-5 Firehawks to serve with conventionally powered aircraft carriers,as a medium attack fighter ,and,it entered service in 1965.

To be honest, this one looks convincing. I'm not sure if winglets were a big thing in the '60s though as they were studied by the AF in the '70s. Good work otherwise!
