Description A pic of the Medieval Castle at Valentino Park, Turin, Italy. It was taken during the Torino 2006 Winter Olympics: the olympic rings are visible among the trees on the left of the castle, on the wall of one of the olympic contest sites (Torino Esposizioni Palace, figure skating).

The pic is made of ten shots, stitched together; the original size is about 8600x3400.

Full view recommended. Thanks for viewing.

For a daylight shot of this castle, see Reflections in the daylight .

O_O
Just great..
I LOVE it!
You have to know that I ADORE panoramic shots..
One dream of mine si to own a panoramic film camera..
So, with this one you make me really envious.. >_<
My greatest compliments..

barninga In reply to Elwinga [2006-05-19 12:23:28 +0000 UTC]

I am very pleased you enjoyed this pic thank your for your comment!

but... my camera is a common digital one, no wideangle or panoramic film. all you have to do is to take shots as you were about to do a m osaic, and then put them together.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Elwinga In reply to barninga [2006-05-19 13:14:43 +0000 UTC]

ehehe, I know it..
But I think it is an hard work to put them together, and now I really don't know which software use to do this..
And I like the idea of a panoramic shutter with 120° of view.. *_*

barninga In reply to Elwinga [2006-05-19 20:57:41 +0000 UTC]

i know that photoshop can help. or, try autostitch [link] or panorama tools (panotools). why to stop at 120, when you can go 180 or more? and reanch the detail level you want?

thanks!
i have a digital compact with a 10x optical zoom, but if i remember well i shooted at 50mm or so... at full zoom i would have had to take too much pics instead of the ten i actually took.
