Creature from a videogame I'm obsessed with "Viva Pinata". Basically a living pinata shaped roughly like a hedgehog. They give them all candy-related names, like Bunnycomb, Newtgat, Taffly etc.

This is cute. I dislike Shadow as well actually. He seems pointless, and too dark of a character to be put in a series that was originally aimed at kids.
I saw the game Shadow The Hedgehog on a shelf at Target, and it was rated "M" for mature or at least "T" I can't remember. But seriously, Sonic The Hedgehog *should* still be kid friendly with *all* it's games. I hate it that they're marketing it towards teenagers. I used to play it when I was in the third grade.
Shadow is evil. He deserves to be parodied in this way.
Sonic used to be cool. I remember when I played the Sonic games on the Genesis and they still had the hidden feature where player two could play as Tails and have unlimited lives while playing with the person who played as Sonic. 
I never bought Sonic The Hedgehog three because I could never find it, and because I played it once and the graphics looked too close to a copycat of Sonic The Hedgehog 2. I have one Sonic gamefor the PS2 and a Sonic game for the Gameboy Advance.
At the point where there's no more emeralds and just stupid little keys (PS2 game), and where the emeralds are impossible to get (Advance game), I don't want to know where the "Sonic And Mario" for the Wii is headed.
Oh yeah and finally, cartoon characters that were originally for kids should NOT have machine guns!
I seriously saw that on the PS2 cover of Shadow The Hedgehog.
Kudos to you! Keep what was meant for kids for kids please!

xD I heard that Shadow the Hedgehog was nominated for Family Game of the Year when it came out... xDDD I was cracking up.
I think Shadow's meant for older kids. Plus, it just shows that not everyone has to be a hero to save people.
Besides, I think every series needs a kind of dark-personalitied character. All of the popular shows/series have them, anyways. The mainstream popular ones are probably Naruto, Sonic, Avatar, and so on. In Sonic, obviously, it's Shadzie here. In Naruto, I know there's uh... whatshisname. xD Sasuke!! Also Gaara, he's the sand guy. And in Avatar there's the Prince Zuko.
Sure, Shadow's not child-friendly, but he helps in the series a lot. He helps it get along, too. He's a very interesting character and I think, without the black and red hedgehog, the entire series would be dying.
Anyways, Shadow's sexy and you can't stop that. xD MINE.

i could not agree with you more on this subject... sonic just keeps going downhill :/ remember Adventures of Sonic The Hegehog? man i love that show! it was so carefree and fun, like the games. its hard to say i like sonic when i mean i like the OLD sonic, not the new crap. and the 4kids voices are not helping either..

Your comment made me think more on this- back when Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog WAS around, the games actually WERE carefree... like the show. I mean, they didn't even have a plot or backstory other then Sonic vs. Robotnik. It wasn't until recently that they seem to be making the games deeper without really caring about what made us love them in the first place- We didn't care about plot or side stories or relationships- we just wanted to run really really fast

It really wasn't about the speed in Sonic. It was the platforming and movement. Or so I heard.

Well, the whole reason they came up with him was to experiment with what they called at the time "Blast Processing"- namely the ability to handle higher speeds then Nintendos.
So yeah, it was mostly about the speed. The platforming came cause a game JUST about speed isn't a challenge or entertaining (Imagine Sonic just running along a strip of road with nothing on it. Shows off speed capabilities, yes- but its boring- hense the platforming moments when you have to actually think things through.) and movement... kind of a subcatagory of speed, really.

yeah. bad move for Sega, they should have just stuck to the old ways, like Mario. Mario still has little plotline, mostly just rescue the princess from Bowser. but people still love it because it's the same thing they loved back then. adding drama and deep plotlines doesnt always make something better.

That's fine by me. I did see Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog. I didn't get to see it for very long because it moved to cable and then I could only see it if I was at someone who had cable's house though. From what I saw it was very good. The new voices aren't good either. I wish I had some episodes on tape to rent so I could compare more easily. Though I do notice them not sounding quite as I remembered them. I hate that.

I am fine with you making fun of Sonic and Shadow (That sounded wrong...), but the wrist-slitting joke (plus the bad word)... I dislike and disapprove of it.

P.S. The comment that you replied to (You know, the one in which I felt remorse?) was kind of supposed to be read with the "Game Over" theme of Final Fantasy VII, probably because that song plays in the game at a sad moment.

Yes it is a VP thing. The Fudgehog is a hedgehog-shaped pinata that is one of the funniest looking ones in my opinion, due to it's increadibly large backside.
As for what he's doing, that's the in-joke. It's something that me and some friends of mine have been talking about.
