Dominic's a pretty optimistic guy, and is not afraid to show his true feelings; whether it be happiness, sadness, or anger you can trust that he'll be completely honest about them. He's rarely ever ashamed of who he is, and will own up to all of his peculiar quirks if it means staying true to himself. In general he's a pretty excitable guy, and is often very enthusiast about anything and everything. He's aware that this can become pretty annoying after a while though, but he figures that it's better than being pessimistic. While he really dislikes pessimism in general, it doesn't mean that he'll outright avoid pessimistic people. He's pretty compassionate after all, and knows that people can go through some pretty tough times. He's known to show concern and empathy for others a lot, and will sit down and have a heart to heart with them if needed. Quite frankly, his disdain for pessimism usually has to deal with himself instead of other people. From a young age he believed that nobody would want him if he revealed the sadder, more 'negative' side of himself, and was determined to bury it underneath a facade of happiness. He essentially became a people-pleaser during his time at the orphanage, with a smile constantly on his face and always offering help. While he eventually learned that it was okay to show his more negative feelings, he still can't shake the belief that pessimism is bad and that he must do everything in his power to make others happy.
He's a hard worker and will do his best to get the job done, but he does have a tendency to bite off more than he can chew. Nic will work himself down to the bone to complete something that's basically unattainable until he finally gives up on it. That, or if he knows that someone else has been able to accomplish such feats he'll work well into the next morning, his competitiveness usually getting the best of him. He always wants to be the one to win when there's a challenge, even if it's something he has basically no experience in. In all honesty he's definitely a 'try-hard' type of person who goes all out for even the most friendly of competitions, but hey, at least he tries to keep a light-hearted air about it right? While he is a generally optimistic person, it would be a lie to say that Dominic's failures don't get to him. He feels as though he should perform perfectly for others after all, and when he fails someone it hits him harder than he'd like to admit. His disorganized habits honestly adds even more disarray and hecticness to his life; where did he leave his gloves or when was he supposed to drop off that gift? Dominic definitely doesn't know. This tends to stress him out quite a bit, and he can usually be found scrambling to get his things together. In spite of his flaws, Dominic does try his best to lead a happy and healthy life, and hopes that others won't look upon his faults too harshly.

History:
For the majority of Dominic's childhood he grew up in a small orphanage in a town far away from Euylnn. The orphanage was far from fancy, but Nic was pretty happy there considering he didn't know what life was like growing up outside of the facility; he viewed the other kids and caretakers there as his family of sort, and would mope around when his closest friends would leave. Early on he picked up on the thought that no one would want a sad and mopey child, no matter how wrong this belief was, and worked hard to keep the more 'negative' side of himself hidden. He always put on a smile and acted happy whenever someone stopped by the orphanage, eventually becoming a people-pleaser. As time went on and he grew up, this facade slowly became permanent, and while he started to show the less happy side of himself again, he still held this ingrained belief that pessimism is 'bad'. When he was 12, Dominic was finally adopted by two women, Sophia and Roxana. Nic grew to be really close to both of them, but he often spent a lot of his time with Roxana, who was a well-known blacksmith in their town. He took an interest in her work and would help her out here and there whenever she let him, and as the years passed he slowly learned how to mine and forge. Eventually he decided to go off on his own and pursue a career with his newfound knowledge, and settled in a rather peculiar town named Eulynn.
