Description
Because I cannot draw large, very detailed pieces without drawing quicker and less detailed pieces as a "break".
And because it's long ago since I drew with colored pencils on black paper. Pastel, yes, but not colored pencil.
To the piece itself - there as mistakes, and - as previously stated - it's not very detailed, as in "not as detailed as my usual pieces". Maybe I'll make a re-do of this later.
Else... there is little to say about it.

It is clearly visible that you did your best on realism, and on adding all the details you saw as required. This made the fox overall very lifelike. I like how every hair on its fur seems to have its own volume and shading. The forest in the background is also beautiful, although not visible, the trees are all very beautiful. Your lines are visible, true, but they don't seem to be just lines, everything comes alive on this piece! The fox's movements are completely natural, Thought it's a little hard to see the forelegs' position. One more thing I really like, besides the more wondrous way light, falls on the fox and the stump it's crawling on? The eyes of the fox; they are realistic and mystical.
One thing that I don't particularly like is how (even though the lighting and the volume come over) is the way the stump was made, to me it seems like you were in a hurry.

I have to say that this image is quite beautiful to look at and it looks VERY realistic! I love the technique that you did with the fur. The fur looks AMAZING and it has a nice flowing movements (in my perspective) to it. Like I said before THIS LOOKS REAL! The whole fox looks like a real one. Its feet, ears, tail, head, and body all look accurate! In some ways I wouldn't tell the difference if I didn't look close enough! ^w^ (ok i am kinda exaggerating but still though!) The impact has me feel amazed, and awed at the same time with how beautiful you made the fox. Also the trees in the background look great and fit so well. The one thing that I only have to say is the originality spectrum (I gave you 4 stars instead of 5) because I have seen similar things like this before, BUT NOT AS DETAILED AS YOURS.

This picture can be summed up in two words; Realistically detailed. This image actually looks very real, more so than a photograph. I like what's been done with the fox itself, it's stance being both relaxed but wary, knowing that anything can happen in the wild at any time. I really like what I see in it's expression. The shading of its fur throughout it's head, legs and especially body and tail are exceptional. The background is very well done. The combination of fallen logs, pine leaves and actual darkness really set the scene well. Overall, an excellent piece of art. Might've been better with some fireflies in the background.
