Description
This is for =suntanna and =RiNymph 's Love is the Strongest Magic Contest.
This took me an obscene amount of time. I just couldn't get the feel right but i think now it is just right.
I wanted to put across a mood of longing but also safety and warmth. (hence the tentatively warmcolour scheme). I hope you can see but she's holding a locket, a gift from her lover/childhood sweetheart, you decide.
My vision of love is one which may not be constant, may change and dwindle but which never completely fades.
N.B. A not on technique i tried a new theory of painting everthing by hand thinking that if i put more love into thise piece then it would reflect more love. Hopefully i'm not wrong.

I really like the ratio what you have decided to have on the image. I mean.. you cannot see something like that so often. Most people use avarage 3x4 paper size but to have this kind of different ratio.. it just looks so much more refreshing.
I adore the idea you have with the image and reading the description it just made it even more powerful and more striking. Something in the simplicity of this image is just striking.
The composition is really beautiful. This image is a perfect example why it is said that you do not need to overcrowed the image. Every detail here seems to be on it's place and the way every detail has it's own part and own story to tell.
I just look at the image and there is so much serenity on it. One part, for sure, comes of the color choice. That watercolor looking images of yours have one part of it.. but there is something more.. I mean.. the brightness.. the lightness.. and calmness, probably too. The water is very still, very calm.. the air seems to be in standstill.. as the model.. like someone has frozen the time.. like this is eternal wait for something as her eyes seemed to be fixed into something we cannot see.
Color choice is brilliant. The way you always play with textures or.. I am not even sure how you get that effect but it is amazing. And worked really well. Some nice contrasts between sky (what looks empty but is not.. has just enough of details and colors) and water.
I like the good work with reflection. It does look to be just like real reflection.. I mean, some parts of it are not seen because of the waves, some parts are better seen, specially in darker surface as it reflects better. Well done.
I think the only problem for me is the blending of the model. Even thought in lower resolution she looks really all right, when hitting full view, she starts to stand out maybe little bit too much.
But I really love it. The emotion is very strong on the image and the way your thoughts and the message you wished, gets trough.. brilliant

Thank you for all the wonderful comments. I am in the process of writing a walkthrough of Come Back to Me on the recommendation of *Eil so hopefully that might shed some light on my workflow.
I put some shadows on the model but i knew it is not completely perfect...i need some more practice.

I have very few words since I am by far far not able to materialize such beauty . The emotions radiate from it as pure starlite, unspoiled and fair.
I persue time to time images that would inpersonate, very few have that that your has.
It is really enchanting . One times I see a perfeckt angle, the other perhaps even Galadriel.
