Oh I've seen them go for a lot more than that. It's crazy money for something that costs about 40 quid to build! Should've held on to it really!

They're fantastic! So astoundingly similar and yet the garishly coloured doors - all different! What's up with that? Some kind of code? And BTW, what do English folks do with these huts aside from working on them at 10:30pm!?! Also they look so tiny and impractical...very confusing! Like a prefab garden storage unit!
Anyway, great shots: definitely a fave!

OK< I figured it had to be something like that - but I thought maybe a person could live or sleep there too and obviously they're too small for that!
Do you know if this is an England-wide phenomenon? I have a friend who lives in Sandown...

Erm, it's not an England-wide phenomon as such, but they're not exclusive to Brighton & Hove. They're more popular here than most places, especially for being painted in crazy colours, but you'll find SOME in most Victorian seaside towns. If you mean Sandown on the Isle of Wight, I'm pretty sure they had some when I was there... can't quite remember

hmmm...i don't know how much they're worth or if that architecture classifies as victorian...but they sure do make up one surreal shot. i had to look close to not confuse myself with the same hut over and over and in different colors. great composition dave, love it.
cheers!

Saw this in =ZjeerY 's journal. The colors instantly caught my eye and then on viewing the larger version I knew it was a fave. Love the way it's put together with the window pane look. Definitely something I'd love to hang on the wall in my guest room.
