I did not realize when I painted this that the main tree in the picture was famous, the well-known. Ying Ke Pine (迎客松), or Welcome Pine in the Huangshan mountains of China. I was really happy with the rocks on the left, maybe the most photo realistic rocks I have painted (not that I was really going for that photo realistic look). For some reason when I look at this I think it could be used for the background of an animation movie.Watercolor on 9"x11" Canson Montval paper.

This painting is beautiful. One moment is "unreal")). The grass site has unfinished view because of angle in the down right corner. It looks like the grass hangs in the air.

On the "grass," if you look at the reference photo pixabay.com/en/china-huangshan… you can see that it's not grass, but some type of low lying conifer bush. Maybe I could have emphasized the branches more in the painting to bring out that it's a branch hanging over the cliff.
