I'm looking forward to a bike-ride to photograph the Paddy's River Road area West of Canberra. One of the previously beautiful areas was still devoid of life in 2008, except for a few straggley weeds. Last time I saw it, it looked beyond recovery. There has not been the same rainfall as you're getting in Victoria. It reminded me of agent-orange devastated places in Vietnam.

Things have really started to take off the last couple of months. It is the wettest start we have had to winter for almost 10 years.

Today is mid-summer here. The longest day. But you wouldn't think it was Summer. We've also had a huge rainfall and unseasonably cool weather. Barely a dozen days when the girls T-shirts have gotten clingy. We have to get this climate change thing sorted as a matter of urgency! It's ruining our quality-of-life!
