Description
Went to Lake Mountain Alpine Resort after working in nearby Marysville this afternoon. I liked the texture of this burn't tree stump from Victorias fires in January.Related content

Beautiful stump Brett! Photographic technique looks good to me (for all I know about such), but I wonder if the comp could have been stronger?

This is the first of the few shots I took. By the time I moved to try and improve the composition, the sun had moved just enough to cast a shadow across the texture I was trying to capture. Should have stopped on my way up the mountain instead of waiting to get it on my way back down

Thanks. Was an interesting enough stump for me to look for it again on the drive back down the mountain. Had never been there before.
