love the series, i found the centaur years ago after i dreamed i was one, today after dreaming of mermaids i found the water one and i recognized the stile!!!

I love that her lower body is made of well... earthy things! Grass for the hooves and wood for the body. I love that! As you already know, this is really beautiful, and I know my comment doesn't add anything you don't already know, but I had to leave it anyway, I like this one so much.
Reading the suggestions and comments people have made about the fire element half-human, it makes you realize how mangled and changed mythology has become. You can go and find a hundred different definitions for any one of these creatures, and each one will say its the only real one.
I think you should use a real half-human creature if you can. The harpy, the centaur and the mermaid are all well established, classical creatures. I think it would be good to finish the series with a pre-existing creature, rather than slap a human torso on a phoenix, as many have suggested. Wow, thanks for reading all that!

thanks a lot for taking time to comment. yeah, i wanted classical pre-existing creatures for the other elements. so far i've done a lamia (or an echidna, as she looks like either), and a centaur. the last one, the harpy, for some reason, is being very difficult to work on. the ironic thing is, i'm finding "air" most frustrating to represent in flowing swirly effects. oh well. again, thanks for the comment.

Great coloring. Captures the look of light through stained glass. I really dig this style of drawing that you're doing. It must take quite a while. The flow is great though.
I especially like the big plant in the background. The tops of the leaves are a really interesting design.
