i know you're getting tired of this style, but hey, it's the only decent thing that came out of my pc today. anyway, this is the water element of a 4-part series i'm doing. the theme, as mentioned, is "4 Elements" with each being represented by a half-human, half-animal. for water, it's obviously a mermaid. the earth's next, with a female centaur. i have no fucken idea what to put for fire! any of you guys know of a mythological being which is half-human, half animal that may represent fire? (i'm gonna use a harpy for air).right.

I see soooooo many wonderfull things when i type water, very beautiful, but nothing seems to be what i'm looking for!
I search an image that shows the elegance, yet roughness of water. the cleansing, but also the fighting element of it. The proud yet gracefull fighter and rebel. God why am i such a hard to satisfy person? xD

I love this, absolutely amazing not only in the depth you managed to give it while only using the hues of blue, but also the emotion it invokes (and as some one obsessed with mermaids, it's getting harder and harder for me to give these types of compliments). Just looking at her brings a smile to my face and a new beauty to my faves.
As for the Fire element, all that flashes in my mind is a long, snake like tail like the Naga dragon, shown here- [link] Possibly with feathery patches similiar to the Amphethere?
