I was bored so I made this. I do not know whether I'd win or lose, but the states colored in would likely go to their respective party (with me being the Republican nominee). Note that this scenario would happen decades from now since I'm not yet 35.There are some issues that I'd support that are not on here because implementing them may violate the Constitution (or the Supreme Court's interpretation of it). Otherwise, there would be some authoritarian policies that would otherwise have popular support, like neutering convicted human traffickers for example.
Main issues of the day: Economy, inflation, healthcare, national security, immigration, gun policy, social security.
Economy/Government Spending
Encourage medium and large businesses to implement a 4-day work week if reasonably possible, to make workers happier and healthier with better work/family lives.
Reduce government spending by cutting some funding to the FBI and NSA.
Suspend government funding to organizations that push a clear pro-religion or anti-religion agenda.
Aim to reduce national debt
Lower all federal tax rates to motivate spending and US investment. Replace current income tax brackets with new ones: 10% on incomes of 15-30k, 12.5% on incomes of 30-45k, 15% on incomes of 45-60k, 17.5% on incomes of 60-80k, 20% on incomes of 80-100k, 22.5% of incomes of 100-500k, 25% for incomes over 500k-1M, and 33% for incomes over 1 million.
Introduce a child tax credit of 2,500 dollars per child under 16, and 3,000 dollars for children under 5 years of age.
Introduce higher federal income tax exemptions for farmers, small business owners, high-tax states' residents, and more.
Introduce a separate federal 'healthcare tax' of 5% for incomes of 500k or more. This tax will go towards both healthcare and social security.
Lower the top corporate tax rate to 15% to encourage US-hired workers. Further lower taxes on corporations which are more eco-friendly (meaning that they use more renewable resources. The lower taxes can help those businesses maintain a profit while keeping energy prices affordable for customers).
Lower federal corporate tax rates on small and medium-sized businesses to 10%
Raise tariffs on corporations which hire labor in enemy nations (slave labor or not) to encourage them to set up shop in the US.
Make ally nations pay fully for the aid that the US provides them, especially when it comes to military support.
Offer tax breaks to corporations nationwide that create their products solely in the US; increase taxes on corporations that create their goods in China and other foreign (specifically communist/authoritarian) nations
Encourage private ownership over government ownership of businesses and services.
Disband unconstitutional federal-level programs (such as surveillance under the 'Patriot Act').
Use tariffs as leverage to barter with foreign nations, particularly enemy nations such as China and Russia.
Infrastructure/Energy Production
Encourage investment in nuclear energy.
Fund weather-proofing of the electrical grid, including legislation on putting electrical lines in the ground and discouraging power lines in urbanized areas.
Fund EMP-proofing of the electrical grid.
Become 100% self-sufficient in producing oil and gas.
Introduce legislation to prohibit power companies from cutting power to homes that don't pay utility bills during freezing winters (where applicable).
Provide funding for major dams, modify major dams to be hydroelectric.
Provide funding for necessary highway, bridge and rail repair.
Provide funding for additional sound barriers in suburban/urban areas.
Expand oil drilling, fracking, and mining in the US, including on federal lands.
Introduce legislation to severely penalize businesses that pollute waters illegally, and provide additional support for residents to sue in case that a business violates this law.
Military/Foreign Policy
End 'nation building' and warhawk policies by withdrawing our troops from a number of nations. Only stay in nations when necessary to defend them from immediate threats (Israel, Taiwan), and only when those nations in question pay adequately for American expenses there. This should save an estimated 3 to 3.5 trillion dollars within four years, eliminating around a tenth of the national debt.
Calm tensions with enemy nations via denuclearization, peace talks, and opportunities of economic prosperity with their cooperation.
Support and defend Israel, Taiwan, and other allies from its enemies (particularly China and the Middle East).
Grant those in all branches of the military, save those in positions of power during times of conflict, to return back to the US based on personal, moral, or religious beliefs or convictions.
End the negotiation of money for hostages. Such negotiations provide bad actors with a monetary incentive.
Ban the use of tribunal death sentences for those in the military who refuse to serve on the battlefield.
Aid our allies and remove troops from the Middle East, including but not limited to ISIS-plagued regions.
Penalize China and the Middle East for their persecution of religious, ethnic, and sexual minorities via certain sanctions.
Forever ban the use of the draft, as forcing others to fight is a human rights abuse; support a 100% volunteer military force.
Give women greater access to join branches of the military focused on technological/mechanical warfare, as opposed to physical combat unless they're physically suited for it, as well as training that best suits them.
Give illegal immigrants and suspected terrorists the right to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Healthcare/Pharmaceuticals/Abortion
Provide government aid to the needy for easier access to necessary, life-saving surgeries.
Provide government funding towards vaccines, medicines, and cures that would otherwise be too unaffordable to the general populace.
Crack down on pharmaceutical companies that charge outrageous fees for medicines and treatments that are otherwise cheap to create.
Transition to a 100% US-dependent pharmaceutical industry (medical drugs) so trade wars and tariffs won't affect the drug supply.
Fully defund Planned Parenthood and any abortion-related procedures funded by the United States federal government.
Fully defund funding for birth control by the United States federal government.
Fully defund and criminalize the use of stem cells in research.
Introduce a Constitutional amendment to define life as 'beginning at conception' and criminalize abortions with no exceptions. Withhold federal funding for cities/states that ignore this amendment.
Unhealthy Food and Crops
End subsidies for many corn farmers, ban corn syrup in food products.
Restrict drink sizes by fast food restaurants.
Introduce a 5% tax on packaged junk food and empty calories.
Introduce legislation to Improve meat produced and sold to meet healthier standards.
Introduce legislation to force the cereal industry to modify their products to better health standards.
Drug Use/Legalization
Legalize medicinal marijuana on the federal level. Leave recreational use up to the states.
Leave the funding of addiction assistance services to the states.
Increase police funding to crack down on the sale of hard drugs, especially in school zones
For illegal drug users with no other criminal convictions, offer an opportunity for mandatory therapy/rehab in exchange for reduced sentencing.
Harsher penalties for those who sell/give drugs or alcohol to minors.
Pardon nonviolent marijuana offenders from prison, given they suffer no addiction issues or other inclements to criminal activity. Does not include drug dealers.
Gun Rights
Repeal existing restrictions on gun bans that have proved ineffective, and are otherwise unconstitutional.
Encourage more schools to hire armed police officers.
Offer tax credits for law-abiding citizens purchasing their first gun.
'Shall not be infringed' stance on controversial gun rights vs safety issues.
Offer a nationwide pardon for noncriminal citizens arrested for owning a gun (does not apply to those who were criminals prior to obtaining a gun).
Immigration/Border Security
Maintain/repair a physical wall along high-trafficked areas on the border.
Deport illegal immigrants.
Accept half a million legal immigrants per year.
Favoritism to skilled workers and those in families.
Education/School Reform
Provide every child in America, grades k-12, the right to attend the public or private school of their parent’s choice (school choice).
Provide increased funding to failing public schools.
Allow tax-free donations to public and private schools/universities.
Improve the teachings of American history, with a focus on constitutional decisions/rights.
Get rid of common core-era styles of teaching.
Institute a national minimum for food integrity in public schools, mandating access to adequate caloric intake and healthy meats and vegetables.
Reform sex-ed to discourage promiscuity, further teach on physical/mental/emotional risks of sexual contact, and how sexual relationships may become abusive.
Political Corruption/Lobbying
Crack down on lobbying; outlaw lobbying on all those running for public office, and define political lobbying as legal bribery.
Crack down on local public corruption.
Keep politicians who have committed crimes, no matter how small during their political term(s) from running for reelection.
Crime and Prison Reform
End private for-profit prisons.
Bring the death sentence for the following crimes: First and second degree murder, rape (excluding statutory rape between consenting minors), pedophilia, human trafficking, molesting. Life sentences without parole may be an option for those with no prior convictions of these crimes.
Longer sentences for those partaking in the sale of illegal pornography. Offer therapy for those only charged with possession.
Increase prison sentences for murderers; give life sentences for serial killers and repeated offenders.
Separate violent inmates from nonviolent ones and ensure that guards are present 24/7 to ensure that fights, rapes, murders, and all other crimes do not go on within the prison.
Immediately fire prison guards convicted of taking bribes from inmates and ensure they will never be allowed to have a job in the federal, legal, or correctional system.
Increase funding for prison security and have proper sanitation, mental and physical care in all prisons operated by the US federal government.
Provide necessary mental health therapy, religious ministry, and educational opportunities. to all prisons operated by the US federal government.
Incriminate prison guards who use unwarranted violence against prisoners
Make all uses of cruel and unusual punishment illegal, including but not limited to physical, psychological torture, starvation, sleep deprivation, etc. This reform includes foreign-related bureaus such as the CIA.
Give a minimum of 1 year in jail for those who assault officers, commit arson or otherwise destroy federal, public, or private property. Allow no bail for these people.
Eliminate bail for first and second degree murder if constitutionally possible.
Eliminate bail for convicted pedophiles, human traffickers, dealers of hard drugs, and gang members if constitutionally possible.
Police Reform
Introduce legislation to end 'no-knock warrants'.
Introduce legislation to end random stop-and-frisk procedures without reasonable suspicion.
Support state-based assistance for non-emergency 911 calls, with a new number and trained volunteer workers. (Based on the KAHOOTS program in Eugene, Oregon).
Introduce legislation to prevent police officers from remaining in their positions after being convicted of a crime, no matter how small.
Fire all officers who violate their oath to defend the Constitution and its rights.
Introduce legislation to require all officers to wear body cameras with audio recorders while on the job. This should deter police from framing individuals while on the job.
Strengthen the rights of those accused by police officers. Maintain a public awareness campaign on the importance of finding someone 'not guilty' unless there is substantial proof that individual must be guilty of the crime they're being charged with.
LGBT Rights/Religious Freedom
Grant religious organizations the right to refuse employment based on gender identity/orientation, when such moral objections apply.
Give business owners the full protection under the law to freely obey their religious convictions, including protection under the law from being forced to speak against their values.
Repeal federal laws which force doctors to provide gender reassignment surgery, and leave the issue of legality of gender reassignment surgery to the states. Protect doctors in those states who would refuse gender reassignment surgery on any moral, religious, or philosophical grounds.
Provide state funding to restrict pornography access from minors.
Work with internet servers to limit the odds of pornography, legal or otherwise, from showing up in search results that are not deliberately searching for pornography to protect children, marriages, and families.
Provide nationwide funding to help decrease prostitution; provide treatment to help those engaged in prostitution with drug addiction, depression, and other health problems.
Familial Courts/Adoption
Push for an end to unfair presumptions of guilt for fathers in divorce proceedings.
Push for states to reform divorce laws, in order to make couples less likely to divorce when there's no abuse or infidelity involved.
Provide generous tax credits for those who adopt children, to make adoption easier and more affordable for middle-class families.
Incentivize married, stable couples to stay together.
Provide tens of thousands of 24/7 safe haven baby boxes across the US, and install more security at these locations to ensure abduction is impossible.
