Aren’t they amazing? I’m so happy I got to see these beauties! And they are not even shy, not overly at least ...
Thank you!

They are really something, I agree. But in UK you have the European robins and the real blackbirds ... I miss them a lot here! Thank you!

Thanks a lot, W! He was kind enough to take his time to watch me suspiciously ... Well, there are trees between all these walls, even parks sometimes, no kidding, but nothing that deserves to be called horizon for example. Or shoreline. Or scenic road. Or pretty horsey. Or sheep. ... ... ..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

lomatic In reply to bluePartout [2013-09-14 23:20:20 +0000 UTC]

Better come for a visit...all the sheep you want....cows too. You should do what i do and just get into the car and drive... albeit i have only to content with 2-3 traffic lights to get out of town.... Still doubt you'll see a bird like that here... not many pretty birds

bluePartout In reply to lomatic [2013-11-07 21:56:20 +0000 UTC]

I don't have a car In Montreal it's about an hour of stop and go just to get out of the city, and even then no sheep, rarely cows But pretty birds, I agree, especially when it's migration time, then they even make it to the city, like this cool guy here . But you have keas, I heard they are lots of fun

Such striking colour it's almost impossible to ignore it. I guess he must be popular with the lady Cardinals

When I was new in Canada I thought these guys were some exotic escapees, but they're almost everywhere as long as there is enough green, as it seems (camouflage is not their strong suit, luckily ) Thanks a lot, Douglas!

DouglasHumphries In reply to bluePartout [2013-09-12 04:55:21 +0000 UTC]

~ yeah I never thought about it - but , it's true enough, they aren't too strong in the camouflage department
