i couldn't resist to upload another pic of tonights session with ~raumzeit (thanks mate!), even though it's 3:40 am already.
more to come tomorrow...if you've never seen a firefly on
before, you have now... 
j/k of course. it's a sparkler.

edit: it seems some more explanations are in order. well, here goes...
it's quite simple - i held a lit sparkler in my hand, swung it around while running through the woods, and ~ raumzeit captured the whole thing (20s exposure time). then we did it vice versa (can't wait for his pictures)
running was a welcome change, since temperature was below 0 degrees centigrade (which means below 32 degrees fahrenheit). shudder.
while i'm at it: why i like long exposures so much is due to shots by my pal *creatyves - i'm sure you've all seen his excellent surrounded

Sorry to break the whole '123' thing going on in the favourites, but I really had to.
I've seen experimenting with exposure delay before, but nothing has come out as well as that has. Well, apart from the rest of your gallery being just as good.

i only see one ghost image of you, how did you manage to get the camera from picking you up more than that? were you running -really- fast or something?

i was running, but not too fast, as i had to watch out for roots/treetunks and the like so as not to stumble... bright things like the sparkler are just way more visible than an unlit person like me...
