Description This is one of my ships from my Star Wars Fanfiction Series: Star Wars: The Shadow Wars. The series is currently between "Seasons."

Note: The information below is from my own universe which is a blend of old and new canon and it not to be considered canon in any other universe but mine.  I should also mention that this ship is canon (at least legacy canon) but its history is significantly different as far as my universe is concerned.

The image was acquired via Star Wars: Empire at War - Forces of Corruption

Class: Keldabe Battleship
Manufacturer: Mandal Hypernautics
Affiliations: The Mandalorians (Primarily), Death Watch, The Zann Consortium (formerly), various pirate groups and private buyers

"The Rebels relied on starfighters and skilled pilots, the Empire focusing more on carrier and warship hybrids in their Star Destroyers, but the Mandalorians...our strength is in sheer firepower. The Keldabe Battleship is a testament to this." - Venku Skirata regarding the Keldabe Battleship.

The symbol of Mandalorian space superiority, the Keldabe Battleship has served as the Mandalorians' frontline warship for nearly 30 years. Although Mandal Hypernautics built and sold these deadly warships, it was only after the ascension of Mand'alor the Beskar (a.k.a. Boba Fett) that the Mandalorians cut back on the sale of these ships and kept them in reserve for themselves. These ships were instrumental in forcing the Empire off of Mandalore in 4 ABY as the Mandalorians seized control of only three Keldabes and a handful of Crusader Gunships, bringing them to bear against five Imperial Star Destroyers. One of the Keldabes and two of the Crusaders were destroyed but all five Star Destroyers were reduced to burning hulks in high Mandalore orbit. The Empire briefly explored the possibility of a retaliatory attack but when they discovered the Mandalorians had not only replaced their lost ships, but also added two more Keldabes and ten more Crusaders, they decided to hold back their forces in preparation for the upcoming Battle of Endor. This only helped to further the Keldabe and the Mandalorians' reputations as deadly warriors, not just on the ground but also in space.

The Crime Lord Tyber Zann and his Zann Consortium acquired a few Keldabes albeit via underhanded tactics during the Galactic Civil War, acquiring the schematics to these deadly battleships to enable him to construct his own. However as far as the Republic is aware, Zann only has two aging Keldabes remaining in his diminishing fleet, the Crime Lord content to sit back to his lonesome as the Galaxy carries on, business as usual.

The Mandalorians have meticulously kept their battleships in peak condition. Most of the Battleships have undergone retrofits and overhauls on some of their systems to keep them up to date and make them even deadlier. Some Keldabes have had a small ventral hangar installed to allow for limited fighter support. It's also rumored that the Mandalorians are working on fielding a new class of Battleship, the larger Sundari Class Battlecruiser. It's rumored that the Sundari class not only outpaces the Keldabe in nearly every way but also has hangar space for a sizable compliment of starfighters. Whether this is true or not, remains to be seen.

It should be noted that the Mandalorians' blood enemies: Death Watch, fields their own Keldabe Battleships but only one has ever been detected. An all black Keldabe with silver markings identified by its transponder as "Viszla's Blade" was spotted during the late stages of the Battle of Thule, being utilized by Death Watch as they fought alongside their Sith allies. The battleship escaped the battle and has not been seen since.
