Name: The Revenant
Class: Venator Star Destroyer
Manufacturer: Kuat Drive Yards
Commanding Officer: Captain Phasma (Designation: Redacted)
Fleet Assignment: 501st Open Circle Group (Flagship), New Republic 5th Fleet
Affiliations: The 501st Legion, The New Republic, The Galactic Empire (Formerly), The Old Republic (Formerly)

"The Revanant might be old, Captain, but you will find it is as reliable and as effective now as it was when first launched." "Experience outweighs everything, even for Star Destroyers." "It seems you wear your Captain's marks for good reason." - Anakin Skywalker and Captain Phasma upon Phasma's assignment as Captain of the Revenant.

Built during the height of the Clone Wars, the Revenant served faithfully throughout the conflict, fighting in key battles such as the Battle of Christophsis, Invasion of Ryloth, and the Battle of Coruscant to name a few. The Revenant was originally a part of the Republic's Open Circle Group but primarily served as one of the main transports under Jedi General Anakin Skywalker's command, ferrying him and the 501st Legion between battlefields during the Clone Wars. When the Empire rose to power, the Revenant transitioned along with it, losing its red Clone Wars era livery and adopting the dull grey of the Empire. Eventually the Revenant was replaced by the larger Imperial-I Star Destroyers and was relegated to support duties. The Revenant survived longer than its fellow Venators, avoiding getting mothballed and scrapped by the Empire. The Revenant actually was spared from the Imperial breakers' yards indirectly due to the Rebellion. When the Empire started to collapse following the Battle of Endor, losing valuable territory such as Kuat, the Revenant was kept in service as the Empire lost more and more ships.

Eventually, the crew of the Revenant mutinied against the collapsing Empire, something that happened with a lot of Imperial ship crews as the Empire crumbled post-Endor, and especially post-Jakku, and surrendered to the emerging New Republic. The Revenant was seized by the New Republic and underwent extensive refitting and overhauling before being redeployed into Republic Service, sporting a New Republic blue livery. Eventually, after roughly eight years of New Republic service, the Revenant was slated for decommissioning as the Republic began to replace most of their Rebellion era ships with newer and more standardized warships. The Revenant was saved from scrap once more however by the 501st Legion who acquired the vessel, giving it a few more upgrades before pressing into service as the flagship of the 501st's Open Circle Group, giving it a blue variation of the Old Republic's Open Circle Group livery (shown above). The Revenant usually serves as a secondary flagship to the Tatooine Avenger which acts as flagship for the entire 501st fleet group, but when the group splits into Avenger and Open Circle Groups, the Revenant assumes command of the Open Circle Group which consists primarily of Clone War era warships and acts as the Legion's planetary invasion fleet.

The Revenant is captained by 501st Legion Captain Phasma, one of the few non-cloned officers within the Legion and also one of the Legion's few female officers.

Ah, well whatever they were, they were extremely effective. Just imaging the damage that a well placed shot from it could do to an Imperial-class Star Destroyer's engines and tower!

I've kinda imported that idea and continued it in my universe. I mention on the SPMA-T bio that Anakin and Kento have replicated the strategy.

Nice! In mine, since my gray jedi has managed to discover a hidden Separatist factory (with a few deactivated ships still in orbit or docked) in the Unknown Regions as well as recover aΒ Venator (that has one of these cannons), my characters tend to use disabling tactics to compensate for the lack of firepower against the Imperials.

Hello beautiful! Man I love these ships, especially the ones with the mass driver cannon in the bottom hangar!

I don't think those were mass drivers. I think those were turbolaser cannons from the SPHA-T's.
